The group got angry that Liz choose Lucas, they aren't the top group, but they have a Tier 7, so they still one of the strongest.One guy from the group tried to catch Liz's arm,but a wind make immobile.The woman waved her hand and the wind dispersed.
"You spoke of my level but you are only a Tier 8." she said scoffing.
Lucas don't care and just go back to where he was before, and Liz followed.The woman got more angry being ignored.She just don't attacked because even the Vice-Admiral is there.
"We have to take care now." Liz hesitate and said.
"I already said, if you are in my group, then I guarantee that you will pass." Lucas said directly, and stayed quiet.
Liz didn't speak anymore too, Bai and Ryo just were walking in silence too.
When they got back to where they are before, Edward shyly arrived to them and asked "I can enter yours group?"
"Of course you can, we just have only one more spot too." Bai said patting Edward's shoulder.Lucas and Ryo didn't said nothing.
After a while, it looks that everyone got a team, but the Vice-Admiral don't said nothing, just when the 10 minutes deadline arrived that he spoke.
"We will now go to the battlefield." He said and several helicopters appeared in the air.
After the helicopters landed, everyone entered the helicopters in order.Even though there is several people there, the helicopters could take everyone.So they take off to the battlefield.
Lucas looked out of the window and is surprise of how many helicopters there is in the air, it looks like a flock of birds.
He looked to the peoples in the helicopter and only Liz is from his group.Everyone entered in the possible helicopter, so they are divided.But they are going to the same place so this don't matter.
Lucas opened the bag and caught a small box, the soldiers in the helicopter let them with the baggage.After all several of the students use weapons and they bring it in some bag, few let the weapon by his side always, like Ryo does.
He eats with satisfaction the cake, the others in the helicopters looked to him like a monster, everyone is nervous, even sleeping in this situation is difficult, and this guy is eating.Liz face is red, when they are out of the helicopter, they will know that they are in the same group.
Lucas sees Liz looking and offered one box, she shakes her head and he is happy, he only offered of courtesy.After a while, he started to eat fried pastries, when they reached the battlefield, his bag decreased a little.
"We are entering the battlefield, so we will stop here, to don't be hit by a monster.So you guys will have to walk the rest of the way." One of the soldiers in the helicopter said, and it started to land.
When the helicopter is near the ground, Lucas thought of the queue to enter the helicopter, so he opened the door and jumped down, with his bag.When he is near the ground, a wind make his body light and he landed smoothly.
Maybe the others thought that was a provocation, or thought the same of him, and started to jumping off too.But almost everyone who jumped made a pit on the ground, even though they aren't hurt, it isn't elegant like Lucas landing.
A top Tier 8 wind guy have a competitive mind seeing Lucas smoothly movements, with the wind help.So he jumped down and imitate Lucas, but still made a small depression on the ground.While his wind is active, a other wind suddenly fixed some incorrect flow and made it flow smoothly.
He looked to the calmly Lucas and got surprise, this wind definitely is from him.
"Thank you." the guy nodded to Lucas and thanked, that wind make his wind flow smoothly, and maybe he can upgrade to Tier 7 anytime now.
Lucas just nodded, he don't care helping people with this don't bring much attention.He got annoyed when he just make a small thing, and the person exaggerates this and make people around pay attention to that too.
Lucas looked around the called battlefield but there is nothing here, even trees are scarce.How did this place is called battlefield?
After all the students got out of the landed helicopters, the Vice-Admiral started his speech.
"We are in the border of the border, so this place is relatively safe, you guys must be preoccupied why there is no base to stop the monsters.First that the range they attack it's too long, if we want to block that, we would need a wall bigger than the Chinese wall, and the size will make more monsters attack, so it's useless.We had only a base in the most forefront of the battle, to make sure that the monsters will concentrate there." the Vice-Admiral explained.
"You guys will kill the roaming monsters near here, it's a pretty easy thing to do with yours powers, but sometimes a stronger monster escape the forefront battlefield and go there.So you all have to be careful, and even the weakest monsters have Tier 8 powers, and are generally in groups, so don't get arrogant and kill yourself.The proof of the preliminaries is the core of the monsters, it is similar with energy fragments, but more impure and weaker, the person with less than 2 of them will be disqualified.The time limit is tomorrow this same hour." the Vice-Admiral continued after letting they absorb the information.
'The most hard part is encountering the monsters, even Tier 9 can kill the monsters if they have a good group.' Lucas thought looking to the flat land.
Everyone thought so and started to looking for their groups members, and going hunt the monsters.Lucas see some guys use their powers that is good for perception while is walking.
"Let's go." Ryo said after all members are there.
"We should follow those groups with perception powers?" Liz asked suddenly.
"For me, we can go straight, but this might eliminate us, so I will hear what you guys say." Bai replied.
"Me too." Lucas said too.
"Let's go straight for a while, and try to use the elements like perception." Ryo spoke after thinking.
Edward just nodded.
Liz looked dumbfounded to such team members, only Ryo thought for a while, and the rest just want to go where the others decide.She started to worry about her distiny with this group.
Surprisingly there few and few groups going just forward, so they stood a big distance from each other.After walking for a little more, Lucas group encountered a scaled biped monster that looked a lizard.
"Hehe, let this thing with me." Bai said while cracking his fingers.
Lucas had lightning meaning, that he got from Bai, so he know a little about Bai strength.When Bai got the stone, he got directly to the middle of Tier 8, now he is almost in the top of the Tier 8.It is a little impressive, because the majority, if not all, of those guys in the top of Tier 8 are rich.Bai got lucky 1 time, but still little compared with those genius who had energy stones in their disposal anytime.
Bai didn't use only the lightning like a mage, he imbued his body in lightning and darted to the monster.Even though it's suddenly, the monster dodged and clawed Bai, lightning got off Bai's body and attacked the monster, while backing of at the same time.
"Why Bai would fight like that?Even if his punch hit the monster, it won't cause much damage." Liz said confused.
Lucas just patted her shoulder with a little spark in his hand, she immediately gave a small spasm.
"What is that?!" Liz almost jumped, and pushed Lucas hand away.
"Lightning of course, his power is lightning, so the damage of the punch don't matter.It's just a form of guarantee that your lightning enters your opponent body.Bai isn't the type that think much, so calculating how much energy he is using with each lightning must be boring to him.So it's better use your fist like the calculator." Lucas said calmly.
"How did you know?" Liz is stunned and asked.Even Ryo and Edward looked.
"It doesn't matter, the fight might end anytime." Lucas shrugged and said.
Bai hit a punch, but it make nothing to the monster, but he continued punching and dodging.After a while, the monster looked sluggish and Bai can hit more punches.After a while the monster can't even move, and a charred smell started coming from him.
"Did you guys see?This monster isn't a big thing, if I wanted I can finish the fight long ago.But I choose the most efficient way, my energy is almost full yet." Bai looked proud.
"Look behind your back, idiot." Lucas rolled the eyes.
