Ding Ding Ding
The boy lifts his head off the table and observe the classmates talk about trivial stuff.
"One more day of the week passed, soon will be weekend..." the boy murmur for himself.
"Lucas!" a energetic voice interrupted the boy thoughts.
"No need to scream, I'm not deaf." Lucas replied.
"Haha,you always live in the moon, so I need scream." rebuked a carefree youth, entering the classroom like the sun rising in the cold morning.
When the girls of the classroom saw the carefree youth, they gave Lucas a envious look, after all he is one of the best in the college either in grades or in looks, and nobody know why he hang out with Lucas who is average in every aspects.
Lucas just gave the carefree youth a white glance.
"Hey, don't be annoyed,I Bai have acquired information you want know." said Bai with a proud look.
Lucas don't have many interests in the school so he don't belive in Bai. "Say so, I don't have time to play with you."
"It's about the girl you like." replied Bai like a deflated ball.
"???" Lucas face is full of questions marks "What girl, I don't like any girl recently..."
"What's that?!" a voice interrupted Lucas conversation and he looked at who spoke, and this person is pointing to the window, shaking.
Everyone looked at sky out of the window, and the sun disappeared!?
No, something is covering the sun, it's a white glow covering more than half of the sky!
Don't matter where you are, the white glow in the sky arrived in everyone, from the poor to the rich, from the worker to the sleeping, from the child to the elderly, from the fish to the lion.
Everyone stopped to see the white glow and in its beauty no one felt comfort, only chills and fear, be it God's judgment or any other myths about the end of the world, that's the only thing people thought.
Consequently everyone passed out, and the world was never the same again,that day had come to be called the Eternal Day, because no one will forget about it.
All life in Earth 'slept' for a day, even non-organic materials absolved the light, but in a small escala.

Lucas woke up, and found himself on a military stretcher with several people nearby, and several nurses checking everyone's vitals.
While Lucas is confused, a nurse spotted he waking up and she rushed toward him. "He is awake, we have to check if something is wrong."
While Lucas is being checked and several other people is still sleeping, the higher-ups of the army around the world are arguing why the majority of people wake up one day after the Eternal Day, but still has 1 billion sleeping.
"You all know the abilities acquired of who woke up in the 1st day after the Eternal Day, now it's 3rd day and whoever woke up today has basically useless powers or no power at all." said a tall and confident man with scarlet hair.
"What you want to say with this? You want us abandon the 1 billion of people who still sleeping?!" replied aggressively a tall and muscular man with a scar in the face.
"I don't say this, but if I meant this what will you do?" replied the man with scarlet hair with a teasing smile.
The big man with a scar almost blow up, but a elegant mature woman interrupted the two. "Boys, we are in a meeting that will influence the live of many people in the world."
"Humpf, this time you're luck" said the big man with a scar.
"...." the man with scarlet hair just gave a teasing smile.
The mood in the room is weird again until the elegant mature woman speak with a smile. "Since we are at an impasse let's ask the person with the most seniority and experience in the room"
No one said a name but everyone looked at one of the chairs, an old man with few wrinkles but low back and bleached hair are proof of age and yet no one underestimates him, from the monarchy to several presidents he is the only one who has remained the strongest spear and shield for the people.
"Hehe..he,the world changed and you guys still dependent in the old bones of my generation, now is the era of change, you who choose the path, I'll only protect the weak." After speaking the old man just took his cane and left.
Looking at the back of the old man the majority in the room has fire in the eyes and want create a path for the survival of the humans and back to having distiny in their own hands because the army found out that animals and plants have undergone mutation and not just physical, instincts have improved, intelligence have improved even though they are still inferior to humans in this regard,but they are much more powerful than humans at least so far.
While the old man was leaving the building Lucas just got out of the nurses' clutches and was discharged,after all there is 1 billion people sleeping yet and can wake up anytime, they don't have time to hold the people who woke up and are fine.
"Is Bai okay? I have to call him,the nurses don't have time to look for someone's file for me,especially who is not a family member." Lucas looked preoccupied,Bai is a clow but is one of his few friends.

Lucas looked at the number in the phone and doubted if his phone it's hacked "Hel-"
"LUCAS!! Thankfully you are okay, I thought you would not answer again, fortunately you wake up, Lucas why aren't you talking? Lucas!" Bai enthusiasm just started and the call dropped.
When Bai would call again he received a message "If you are gonna scream don't call(emoji of disdain)."
Bai called again but this time calmed and after normal conversation he couldn't help himself and asked "Lucas,do you want to know what is my power?"
Lucas stayed bewildered with this question "What you saying, we are in high school not in the 8th grade."
Bai was shocked,he didn't know that after the 3rd day after the Eternal Day have chance of not having power and if so, it's too weak so he decided to console Lucas "Don't worry, these things don't matter, just be a nice guy, we meet at school tomorrow, probably will explain to us what happened"
Lucas just thought it was Bai normal nonsense so he simply responded "Okay, tomorrow we meet."
Lucas went home and made dinner and spent the night playing until he feels asleep, after all Lucas is a independent young man and unfortunately he has no parents to teach him balance to have fun but remain health.
And so the morning of the next day arrives,in the college Lucas will discover that he has no power or his power is different ?
