Right after she left, Jason went to his room window and watched her walk out of the building till she disappeared from his sight, his eyes brew with thousands of emotions. His phone vibrated at the bedside table, returning his stupor, he walked towards the table and picked his phone but what he saw made his face grow fifty shades darker, his breathing was deep and heavy. He walked to the bathroom and shut it with a bang that it almost flew off its hinges, shortly after, the showers were turned on. He needed to calm down, he couldn't let them get at him.
The two young men and dog in the sitting room were enjoying their leisure time playing video games over popcorn when they noticed their Captain come down fully dresses in a black formal suit that hugged his body firmly and a cream stripped tie over a white shirt, his black haired gelled back exposing his sharp features, sharp nose, perfectly sculptured jaw and his adam apple bobbled up and down sexily. His eyes sharp as that of an eagle snapped at his subordinates who happened to freeze and feast on him.
"Meet me in the next five minutes." And he left for his basement garage. Reaching the garage, he made his way to a black brand new Bentley parked among other simple cars which made it stand out alot. Soon, Mike was the first to arrive clad in a white suit and black shades, his playfulness had disappeared and a meancing aura surrounded him. Travis was in a pale grey suit that fitted just perfectly enhancing his masculinity but his vibe was cold and along him was Markus whose expression was serious as well as if he knew what they were going to face. The twins looked more like eachother now and the only difference was their suits.
Travis walked to the driver's seat and started the engine once everyone was settled. "To the capital's city hall."
And the black Bentley drove off.
"Captain...." But his voice trailed off when he noticed that Jason was in deep thought with his eyes closed.
"Is something the matter, Captain?" Travis inquired.
"I need to be there in an hour!" came Jason's order and the rest of the drive was in silence.
Country G capital city, Galaxy hall.
The four storeyed building shone with bright lights, camera flashes filled the area as cars after cars came to drop off the executive guests who walked gracefully on the red carpet and striking poses to show off their expensively branded clothes and jewelry.
The red, flow length curtains hung with a GW label, along the firm pillars that held this mighty building in its full glory and swung against the wind lightly. More guests continued to flock the venue and with each appearance, the journalists were enthusiastic to take their best shots and collect juicy news from tonight's grand event.
In the the hall, which was decorated with maroon-red curtains and white, soft music playing in the background,a few tables at the side where refreshments were and a grand stage where the emcee stood as he introduced whoever made their way in. Those that had arrived earlier interacted, cracked jokes with each other in an elite manner, discussed business while others simply continued to admire the grand preparations of the GW conglomerate.
Some tried to seek connections to help elevate their status in G country as this party held persons from politicians to international prominent businessmen from in and out of the country to famous models and artists. Only the highly regarded in country G received the invitations and those who didn't receive them could only grow green in envy and watch the event from their TV screens at home.
Journalists as well were restricted and only a few made it in the venue. Later when the occasion proceeded to officially start, a black Bentley drove to the basement parking and parked in the furthest corner. The three men inside had grim expressions after being briefed of what they should expect when they enter that place. Mike and Travis were so angry that their forehead muscles almost snapped because of containing the feelings that brewed in them.
Getting down from the car, Markus with neatly brushed fur joined Jason and walked beside him. "Make sure, don't be seen!" reminded Jason. He then nugged at Markus, "Come on boy." and he followed silently.
Reaching the back exit, Jason opened the door and looked at the empty hallway, good no one to ruin his peace but after passing a few rooms, he heard a voiced that bellowed angrily, "what do you mean he didn't come?" After a moment of silence another roar erupted. "I don't give a damn whether you have to drag him here!! Before the announcement is made...make sure or else, you'll forget about seeing the sunrise tomorrow!!" jeered the loud eldery voice.
A man in his late fifties stormed out of the room and headed back to the hall not bothering to look back, probably, he would have moticed the person he so badly wanted to meet. 'Your guard is down old man,' Jason murmured.
Soon, out came a young man clad in maroon suit with a bowtie, his head hung low feeling so down that he wished the ground could swallow him.
"Am sorry am late."
The young man was startled that he was forced to look up with tears in his eyes and red cheek only to meet the one and only person who gave him relief and reason to keep striving.
"Ja...Jason..."his voice was a whisper.
"Still a cry baby I see." Jason retorted.
"Yeah!" He admitted. "I thought you wouldn't come. I actually didn't want you to be here."
"But I am." Jason replied nonchantly. Markus too barked to make his presence known. 'Me too'
Looking down from Jason, the young man saw a brown German shepherd dog staring intently at him. "He's Markus," Jason introduced. "Markus, that's my step brother Liam, be good to him."
Markus went ahead to receive a pat on his head from Liam who had long forgotten his misery, attention on the dog. "Once your done getting to know eachother, meet me in the hall." and like that, Jason walked past them to the hall where his life was taken from. He could hear the grand speech from where he was as a familiar voiced reached each and every cell in his body making him grit his teeth.
"........We are so happy that you've managed to make it to this occasion despite your busy...."
The room fell silent when a man in a black suit walked across the stage unbothered that he had interrupted a great speech. Many glared at him in annoyance, the old man that was giving his speech felt his tongue go stiff while others admired his side profile, he must be heaven defyingly handsome, some were curious as to who the young man was and his audicity to walk on such a holy platform. Not only that, he actually took a seat for him self at the VVIP table at the front!!!!!
Not longer after, a German shepherd dog jogged to the young man's side and took a seat on the carpeted floor, glancing at the crowd with a smug look.
Everybody was puzzled and kept looking at the young man incredulously. Murmurs then erupted from the crowd;
"Who's that man?"
"What the nerve!!"
"He must be someone special, I mean who'd dare walk to those seat if..."
"Yeah, your right who's he?!"
"He's so handsome!!!!"
"Am starting to doubt my sexual orientation!"
"Anybody know him or seen him somewhere?"
However an amplified voice brought them back to the present. The old man from earlier who was giving his speech had turned pale at the sight before him. "Aren't you supposed to be dead?"
"D...dead?" The crowd erupted into another frenzy.
This was what was so interesting about such events, witnessing secrets unfold and gossiping about it endlessly. There were always such dramas.
The interest of the reportes present was piqued which made them rush to the front to collect first hand news.
"I thought the same." replied the young man indifferently and his deep majestic voice though not harsh neither cold rippled the ladies making them squeeze their thighs together at the sensation they felt. His voice was so heavenly that butterflies flattered in their stomachs. They needed him to keep talking but that was all he said.
"What are you doing here?" asked the man whose speech had been interrupted. Though he tried his best to mask hie emotions, if one was to observe, they would notice the rage in his voice.
"I thought you had called for me. Here I am!" his voice calm.
"Follow me young man before things get ugly." the old man had left the microphone but his voice loud enough for Jason only to hear.
"No," Jason refused defiantly.
"You....!!!" the Oldman glared at him.
"I'm here to warn you." made his stand, she stood up and dusted his suit, clearing his cuffs.
"You dare tho threaten me!!" he hissed.
"Mmmm." Jason didn't deny that fact. "You should know better, harm Liam again and I'll see to it that I'm the one to behead you," his voice was cold laced with bloodlust and low, but each word spoken carried it's gravity making the air around suffocating.
"Who are you??" the man's breathing had grown heavy with rage. This young man looked exactly like the boy he killed years ago, though he slightly changed, he can't forget those eyes. He had made sure of it, 'how come he's here, alive and breathing? Is my mind playing games on me??!' The Oldman turned paler, his security team had drawn closer just in case.
"Your monster." and Jason left with Markus in tow from behind later to be joined by Liam. He couldn't stay here if he wanted to live.
The old man was left trembling in suppressed anger, he nearly lost it and wanted to give an order to have that bastard killed but the world's eyes were on him now!!! Shit!!!! Damn it!!!!? he jeered silently.
