Bella felt her headache when the attention shifted to her. She wanted to drag that Sirena back and give her a good beating.
What a nuisance. She took a deep breath to gather all the patience she could muster up and looked at them.
"You know there's a reason why the things were hidden and I expect you guys to at least respect that." When she saw the frowns dancing on all the faces, she sighed and decided to reveal a bit so that they don't die from their curiosity.
"A curse was placed on all of us." Bella paused. She then narrowed her eyes and continued, "Don't even think of it as a simple curse because it is not. It was the deadliest curse of all. It does not kill anyone or bring harm to anyone but it is definitely not an easy one either. Because the pay for the curse is deadly to the one who casts it. The details of it...I may not disclose it now but looking at how things are progressing, I believe that the time for it is arriving soon."
"As far as Sedna and Vulcan are concerned, All I can say is that it was her decision and I think it's better if Sedna remembers it herself. The spell protecting it is no joke and I believe in her so, let's not push things too much. And yes, Vulcan and Sedna had a thing and it was quite complicated too."
Zed scoffed from the side, "Complicated? I don't think it was complicated at all. It was just pure bullshit and we couldn't do anything to stop it." He clenched his fists as he looked at Sedna sleeping. Looking at her peaceful face, his eyes flashed with heartache, and his clenched fists tightened even more.
"We were useless, f*cking useless! None of us could stop her! None! That idiot.."
It took him a moment to calm down and then, he turned to Cara and Gabriel and said, "Your answer lies with her and even if we want to, we can't say anything to you guys. Because that idiot used a spell to prevent us from interfering too much, as a result, we can only clear your doubts in bits and pieces. Our lips are sealed. We can only wait for the time."
Cara pursed her lips as she heard them. Everything seemed too messy for her, and she wondered how Sedna would feel about it. She then turned to Sedna and found the latter still in a deep sleep.
....
Sedna found herself floating on a dark cloud as she opened her eyes. She sighed and snuggled closer to the soft cloud. It was cold and warm at the same time making her want to snuggle more. She didn't know why she was here now but she felt some strange emotion bubbling in her. She tried to think about how she ended up here but she only felt a slight ache in her head.
Suddenly, the dark cloud shook and she sensed the cloud moving faster. She crawled slowly towards an end on that cloud and peeked down with an eye open. Her eyes widened looking at the beautiful view.
Golden buildings greeted her sight as they shined under the sky. The city looked like an old kingdom, even its walls screamed rich. She looked at the beautiful city with wide eyes when suddenly, she again felt the cloud descend as it moved closer and closer to the city.
"Oh shit!!! What in the world!!" Sedna felt her breath hitch in her throat as she watched the cloud finally descend into the city. The cloud hovered on the ground not touching it and it moved along the streets. She could now see the streets and people moving around her, but surprisingly, no one seemed to notice her or even feel her presence.
She looked around and understood that it seemed another dream of hers. Moreover, looking at their attire and all, Sedna was sure that it was somewhat in the past, way back in time. But, all of them looked rich and beautiful. Not even one poor or shabby-looking thing can be seen anywhere.
The cloud moved along the street and soon reached a dead end. There was a big wall and nothing around. When Sedna thought that cloud would turn around, she received another fright when it moved toward the wall as if it wanted to bang into the wall. Soon she received another shock when the cloud passed through the wall smoothly without any hesitation.
She looked down at her hands and nodded her head as if she understood something. The cloud soon took her to some alley where the crowd was less than that of the streets.
And after some time, the rest of the wandering people left the street as well leaving Sedna alone on the deserted street. The eerie silence accompanied by the distant hustle of the other streets brought a strange nostalgic feeling in Sedna's heart. She sighed and slumped down on the cloud closing her eyes. All these strange things were giving her a headache and she wondered when will she find out the answers to all these mysteries.
She thought that her life suddenly transformed into a thriller movie. Or to be more accurate, if her story was to be made into a movie, it would definitely be a thriller hit. The twists and turns in it would surely keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Sedna took a deep breath trying to shake the ridiculous thoughts out of her head and that seemed to have worked because as soon as she took in the air all the exhaustion, anxiety, and chaos in her seemed to have disappeared into nothing.
The air around the place felt so light pure and fresh that she felt a strange soothing feeling in and all over her body. Strangely though, she felt as if she was familiar with such kind of air but Sedna knew, that such pure air would not exist anywhere on the earth. The thought made her panic a little because if the area she was in is not Earth then where in the world is she now?
