The giant before them is at least 8 feet tall that Cara felt her neck pain a bit because of too much stretching. His huge body is wrapped in a brown leather loose coat that reached up to his waist. He wore light coloured loose knee-length shorts accompanied by a huge black leather belt on his waist.
" Hello!! I am Roose." the giant introduced himself cheerfully in his childlike voice.
Sedna didn't know why but as soon as she saw Roose's face, she became dazed.
Looking at Sedna who became dazed, Cara whispered in the former's ear " Hey! Snap out!! Did you fell in love with him or what?? Why are you so dazed??."
Cara's funny comment made Sedna come out of her dazed state but she continued looking at Roose in a confused way.
"Hey! Have we met before??" Sedna asked suddenly while Roose shook his head calmly.
"What an old flirt!!" Cara hissed at Sedna while the latter just rolled her eyes at her friend.
"How can I help you??" Roose asked them with a smile and Cara answered " Hello!! We just wanna look around!"
"Oh sure!! Please go ahead!" said Roose in a friendly way.
Sedna looked at Roose again and asked" Why is there no one around? and what happened to your eyes? What are all these jars and boxes??"
Sedna fired the questions so fast that even she missed a hint of worry that appeared in her voice as she asked about his eyes covered in a weird cloth-like thing.
Cara frowned at her friend's strange behaviour but remained silent because she too was damn curious about them.
" Oh!! It's nothing!! Just the carnival costume!! These all are different antique liquids, potions and jewellery. That's it!" Roose explained enthusiastically.
"Carnival?? What carnival?" Cara asked excitedly.
"Hmm?? Don't you guys know?? We have "ARUBA CARNIVAL" here that we celebrate every spring. But this year it's even more special bcoz of the unique ceremony that we call the " Diety revival ceremony" and about not having any customers, we are very old here and all the youngsters these days fancy some new things which we don't like that much. Anyway go ahead and look around. But if you like anything, let me know, I will give you a special discount!!" Roose said.
Sedna smiled and said, " Thank you" and started looking around.
Both of them looked around for quite some time because everything present in the store is different and exciting.
After looking around Sedna found a cloak made of white fur, hanging from a vine at the corner of the room.
She didn't know why but her heart and gut seems to be urging her to buy that cloak.
She pointed her finger at the cloak and declared " I want that cloak."
Both Cara and Roose looked in the direction of her finger and found the majestic looking cloak made of white fur covered in golden brown patterns.
Both of them frowned while one with confusion and the other with a strange expression.
Sedna raised her brows and asked" What?"
Her question brought Cara and Roose out of their thoughts and Cara asked doubtingly " Are you sure?"
When Sedna nodded her head, Cara sighed and said "Alright!"
They both walked towards the counter while Roose went to get the cloak packed for them.
"Who are you buying that for?" Cara inquired while wiggling her brows playfully.
Sedna smiled and answered, "For my future husband!".
After a while, Roose came back with the packed cloak along with two wooden boxes.
"Here you go! It's 279 bucks." Roose said and handed the cloak over to Sedna.
Cara paid the bill while Roose spoke again while giving a wooden box each to Sedna and Cara respectively "These are the Carnival gifts! Please take them and don't lose them. It has all our love and blessings", Roose smiled as he told them.
Sedna and Cara took the boxes and smiled at Roose and said "Thank you" respectively.
They turned to leave when Roose suddenly said " Today, there is a ceremony in the carnival! It comes only once in a millinea. Please do go there and participate in it. You will like it for sure."
Sedna smiled and said " Okay!! See you again!" and they left the store.
As soon as they left, Roose heaved a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat dripping from his forehead.
"Oh, my poor Roose!! Look at you! Being exhausted from just a tiny bit of acting!!" suddenly a pleasant middle-aged voice sounded in the room.
Roose turned his head and looked in the direction of the voice when the voice spoke again "Huh? Do you think that you can fool her so easily!! Look at her! Even when she doesn't have her powers, she still cares about her people."
" If you wanna talk come out and talk you sneaky ghost!!" Roose said sarcastically when suddenly a punch landed on his face and a fair middle-aged face came into his view.
"Who are you calling a ghost? You stinky brat!" Sirena, the middle-aged beauty scolded him.
"Think before you speak or else I'll turn you into a dwarf next time! You rascal!" Sirena threatened while Roose shuddered at her threat.
"Pardon me!! I don't want to be a dwarf!!" Roose begged because he knew that he shouldn't provoke this great aunt or else she will turn him into a dwarf for sure. Just the thought of it sends a chill down his spine.
"Hmm. That's my boy!!"Sirena hummed in satisfaction watching Roose shiver in fear.
"Why did you make me give that box to her?? You worked so hard to get that box from Neo! Oh! Should I say you tricked him into robbing that box from Egan?"Roose inquired with a frown.
"That box must reach her, so we just did what we had to. They will attend the ceremony! The time has come for them to meet." Sirena said playfully while Roose just frowned at her.
He didn't know why but he had a bad feeling about this.
So he sneakily gave another box to Cara. He put two vials of his handmade potion in them. He didn't dare to let Sirena know about it because this grandaunt will whoop his ass for sure if she finds about it.
" What did you give to Cara??" Sirena asked suddenly making him break into a cold sweat.
" Haha! I just gave her some good luck potions or else they will suspect us if we only give that box to Sedna." Roose lied calmly while Sirena nodded her head in approval.
"Hmm! For the first time, you did something smart with that dumb ass of yours!" Sirena dissed playfully and Roose barked at her with a dark face " My ass is not dumb!".
Sirena waved her hands "Bye! Bye! I need to visit some old friends" she said and left leaving a grumpy Roose sulking himself.
