Chapter 9 - THE PEACEFUL OCEAN

Gabriel felt his heartache when he saw those tears flowing from her beautiful eyes. He wiped away those tears from her face softly when she hugged him all of a sudden. The coldness that surrounded his heart these days melted away just like that when he felt her warmth in his embrace.

Gabriel was more than happy to hold her soft body, which looked so petite in his arms. He hugged her tight when he felt her grip loosen and smelled her soothing scent that calmed his bruised heart like a miracle.

Sedna looked at her friend crying while hitting Gabriel and smiled at them with tears in her eyes. She knew that Cara never moved on after her breakup and hoped that the couple would resolve their misunderstandings soon.

Sedna prayed for Gabriel in her mind when she thought of how Cara has suffered these days. She is damn sure that her friend will torture that poor guy even after they reconcile.

Sedna was lost in her thoughts when she felt someone approach her. She turned her head and found the woman in white clothes a while ago, smiling at her. Sedna smiled back when the woman spoke" I am Sirena." Sirena introduced herself with a smile. "Sedna", Sedna smiled and greeted back.

" You seem to be happy," Sirena spoke to Sedna while looking at Cara and Gabriel. Sedna nodded and replied " Yeah! I just want them to be happy."

Sirena turned to Sedna and said " You seem to be tired! Let me take you to your chamber. I think it will take some time for your friend."

"Sure!" Sedna said and followed Sirena to the chamber. After Sirena left, Sedna looked around the chamber and dropped her bag on the ground, and slumped on the cot in the middle of the chamber.

As Sedna rolled on the cot and looked around the chamber, she gasped suddenly remembering something. Yes! The box that Roose gave her!

She rolled down the cot and opened her bag taking out the box that Roose had given her this morning. Sedna looked at the box and her eyes widened in surprise looking at it. She was sure that this box looked nothing extraordinary this morning. But now it seemed to be shining and glowing like fairy lights. She pursued her lips tightly and opened the box with light excitement in her heart that even she didn't notice.

THE HIGH PRIEST CHAMBER

"What's with his creepy smile" Vulcan grumbled in his mind looking at the old priest's creepy smile but his face remained blank as usual. He somehow felt this oldman's hatred for him, but he didn't care because he too was not really liking this man.

Their staring contest continued until someone opened the door of the chamber and Roose sighed in relief internally seeing that it was Sirena who came back.

Sirena smiled looking at Roose's stiff smile and turned to Vulcan " It may take some time to start the ceremony. We just received some guests and we can begin the ceremony after they are ready"Sirena explained politely while Vulcan just nodded his head mildly.

"Ah! I just saw your companions meeting a girl a while ago! They seem pretty close."Sirena reminded Vulcan about Gabriel and Neo.

"Hmm, I'll go look for them," Vulcan said and left the chamber after nodding mildly at her. He didn't even glance at Roose making the latter grit his teeth with hatred.

"Hmph! That bastard!" Roose huffed with annoyance as soon as Vulcan left the chamber. Sirena looked at him sulking and smirked.

" Did you like my gift? How do you feel now, after meeting your long lost friend?"she provoked him.

Roose frowned at her "He's not my friend and don't tell me you were about to do what I am thinking right now!"

"BINGO!" Sirena exclaimed with twinkle in her eyes making him frown even harder.

She looked at him and continued" Do you know what could fuel her rage?" When Roose pursued his lips and nodded his head reluctantly, she smirked and stood before the window looking at the peaceful ocean below the mountain. "That's right! Only her man could bring out that darkness with in her. Moreover, she really hates it when some other woman eyes her man. So, that's what I'm gonna do now! Whether it is now or back then, Sedna is Sedna! Her memories might be gone but nor her love!"

Roose looked at her back and sighed " Is it really necessary for them to meet? Is there no other way other than their meeting?"

Sirena pursued her lips but continued looking at the ocean before her "We both knew, that between Sedna and Vulcan, who is more possessive and obsessed. Well! They both are possessive but, we clearly know that Sedna's obsession for Vulcan is as much dark and heavy as her darkness which she hides beneath her smile. We need to bring out the darkness Sedna is hiding within her and only her rage could bring that out."

She narrowed her eyes at the ocean before her and whispered" The ocean has been too peaceful lately. Its time to shake it up"

Roose looked at her back facing him and sighed in his heart. He could never understand this woman's thoughts at all. She is just like a riddle to him, mysterious and annoying as hell. He wanted to curse at this annoying woman but quickly deleted that thought when he thought about how she threatened him into making him a dwarf. He gritted his teeth inwardly and took a deep breath. He must not provoke this woman. She is damn too dangerous to mess with.

----------------------------------------------------

Vulcan sighed in relief as soon as he came out of the chamber. It became too stuffy in the chamber because of that damned priest. His stares were so creepy that Vulcan wanted to punch that old face.

Vulcan frowned and started looking for Gabriel. He knew that Gabriel must have caught Neo by now, based on how angry he looked when he left to look for that brat. What are they doing till now? And who is that woman, that managed to stop these brothers for this long? Vulcan mused and walked trying to find those brothers when suddenly his steps halted at a wooden chamber. His heartbeat raised and his breath quickened as he turned his head and looked at the closed door of the chamber.
