"Mr. Geit. Ms. Ervinsyl. Congratulations on officially becoming a hunter. Here are your Hunter Ids."The receptionist said while handing out bronze framed cards.
The IDs had quite a unique design, similar to old era architectures. The card was framed in a beautiful bronze filigree with old english style fonts(the text isn't really in old english, just that the style is an old english equivalent of the modern english font.) It was much more aesthetically pleasing compared to my skill cards.
'Ehem.' Better not let grimoire hear my thoughts. It might get jealous.
"Regarding the benefits that the Hunter License entails. Please refer to the beginner's manual, which you can access from the official Hunter Guild's website. You can also ask for a printed version from the counter." The receptionist then left to distribute other people's ID.
"With this. We can finally access the bronze gates." I held the ID in my hand and gave Gles a smile. "Let's do our best to become stronger."
"Yes! As long as Solon is with me I can continue being stronger." Gles did an 'I-can-do-it' posture.
"Isn't it better to aim for more power even without me?"
Gles shook her head. "I only became strong because of you. If you hadn't been helping me out all this time, I would have remained as the useless girl I was."
I wanted to deny her claims. But I stopped, instead I vowed inside.
I would make her strong enough for her to stand on her own two feet.

Ruins of Cangmir.
A small dungeon with a big reputation.
For crushing hunters!
Today was our first dungeon dive after becoming official hunters. And I was excited to see for myself what makes bronze rank and above Gates so different from gates of iron rank and bellow.
"You ready Gles?" I turned to my partner. I had thought about what she said yesterday when we received our IDs. 'The useless girl I was.'
I want her to gain confidence in her strength. Strength she must earn even without me.
"Yes."
"Good. Let's dive." I had always been fighting alone.
Even when I was with Gles. Most of my skills where unsuitable for team battles. Unless the team was my foe, then my skills could easily wipe them out.
And there was a Salamandrake incident earlier. Because of this, we didn't have time to practice teamwork. Or even Gles' solo battles. That is why I've chosen Ruins of Cangmir as our official first gate.
It has mighty strong monsters with peak bronze nine battle prowess and a large arsenal of spells.n And they come in different roles. Some of them are walking armours and are literally fighters. Some would be golems that seemed to play a tank role. While others would be floating robes with magic spell similar to a wizard. All of which are your typical rookie crusher.
Any one of these are comparable to a mini boss from other bronze dungeons. The good news is that they are what you call lone wolves.
Yeah. Them solo peeps.
Perfect opponents for our sweet little Glessy.

A ruin. A battleground. A city forgotten by time and covered in dust. A remnant of a once glorious race.
That is what people discribed the city of Cangmir.
I can't say I disagree. It looked like a prosperous city from a long time ago. You can see the remains of a once beautiful architecture. Intricate designs on every corner of every house on every streets. Signs of battle littered the ruins. Walls where filled with graffiti that looked like a mixture of magic circles and a geometrist's handy work.
The Magiscientists of the Universities believed that these graffiti were in fact the language of the race that once lived in this city.
