"What the F is that!?" I was taken aback by what I saw.
"Ooo! It's so cute!" Gles exclaimed.
"True. But that's not the point! Why is that thing moving!?" I pointed my finger at the cute doll before me in disbelief.
"I don't care! It's cute! Can we keep it!?" Gles have me puppy eyes.
"Kuhem. No. That thing probably doesn't want to be a pet. Also, it's a monster. It's definitely dangerous." I tried to stop my self from agreeing with Gles. But I had to be rational, so I turned her down reluctantly.
"Muu." She pouted sadly.
"OK. Fine. You win." I swung my hands up in defeat. I can't take it, being assailed by cuteness from two fronts, I was bound to lose. "Let me just try to tame it."
I don't know how to tame it. Or any other monsters for that matter. I don't even have a taming card.
But that doesn't stop me from trying. All the novels I read states that one needs to defeat an intelligent beast with sheer might in order to tame it.
What am I trying tame you ask? It's a bear-bear. A fluffy soft bear-bear plush. And it's so cute. You've got to admit, even if you're a guy, you'd want to try to tame an intelligent animated cute object.
Gles and I where just strolling around the ruins finding more training partners, when this small thing popped out from between the rubble.
The online guide of this gate didn't mention anything about a moving plushies. It should be a unique spawn.
I slowly neared the adorable thing. It stared at me with its cute eyes.
"Ruu." A cute sound escaped its mouth which made Gles squeal in delight.
But what it did next wasn't cute at all.
"That is not cute! Not cute at all!" I yelled as I watch the plush transform into a huge muscle-packed monstrosity. It broke my mental image of Gles hugging a cute bear-bear. It was replaced by Gles riding the shoulders of a brute bear. Thank goodness she didn't have red hair.
"Rooaarr"
It swiped its gleaming claws at me. I dodged to the side avoiding the sharp hammering strike.
It roared again and stood up in a threatening manner, hands raised to the sky, making itself look big and menacing.
It slammed its body at my location like a wrestler. I responded by calling out Lightning Tauren. I then sent a Thundering Punch to its solar plexus. The punch halted its advance but didn't seem to do as much damage as I hoped. But considering that it had an eight-pack abs, it wasn't hard to see why.
Seeing that it won't do much, I decided to use another card.
[DRAGUINITY]
RANK - BRONZE
TYPE - MAGIC/BOOST
[Call upon the might of a dragon. For 100 MP, boost the power of a card by two stages.]
It was one of the cards I received from defeating the Salamandrake. It was also a 1/40 rarity card. I was lucky enough to acquire it after a five-card draw.
Scales began to grow from my hide. The hoof like nails became razor sharp talons. Another pair of horns grew below the already existing pair. The tail changed and became thicker and longer, ultimately forming a reptilian tail.
If a minotaur and a wingless dragonewt had an offspring together, it would look like my current form.
The bear roared at my direction. I roared back. Both of us are currently in our monster forms. It was a courtesy to roar at each other during battle. Yeah, definitely. I wasn't doing it because I felt it was cool. Nope.
I roared again and flew at the bear. Four horns aiming at its chest.
