"NO!"
Alfonse cried when the Frost Titan breathed out thick frosty air towards Arca. It was like smoggy blue clouds with sparkling misty clouds of dust coiling around it that even the air froze upon contact.
[Frost Breath]
Everyone was stunned as they were rendered motionless on the ground.
Alfonse's knees gave way as he kneeled on the ground with horrid eyes while Ethan and Rever remained stunned on the spot, too shocked at what happened in just a matter of seconds.
Rain felt guilt as he stood there in a daze. That beautiful white-haired woman was now . . . dead?
Rain's jaw tightened as he clenched his fists, swallowed by self-petty.
Because of me . . . Because I hesitated . . . She died.
BOOM!
BOOM!
ROOARR!
Earth-shattering explosion one after another shook the entire place, followed by the beast's agonizing roars.
"What are you boys doing their moping around like sissies?! Hurry up and help me attack its horns!"
"A-Arca?"
The men all cried in disbelief as a figure of a woman flew above the beast while she continuously rained shot after shot on the Frost Titan, aiming at its horns.
"Watch out!"
All questions disappeared from Rain's mind when he saw that massive paw striking its way towards Arca.
Without a second thought, he sprinted to her.
By the time that Arca noticed that death strike, it was already too late to dodge. She could only grit her teeth, unable to escape her fate for the second time. She had just escaped death. But now, she couldn't cheat it again.
As Arca drew her last blink, a figure of a man suddenly appeared right before her eyes as he pushed her away with just enough force to send her flying towards the ground.
"Rain!!"
Ethan anxiously called out when the Frost Titan's paw knocked Rain away instead of Arca, sending the man flying before crashing on the wall at an unbelievable speed which caused the thick ice walls to cracked and crumbled, forming a crevice.
Even though Rain had completely blocked the attack with his sword, he still suffered internal and external injuries and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Ethan didn't waste a single second as he used his own body's energy to cast heal on both Rain and Arca's injuries. Not minding that he might die if all the arcane force inside his body was exhausted dry.
Alfonse immediately took the vanguard while Rever supported him from behind. All their attacks concentrated on those horns.
A beast's horns were like that of an arcane stone. Its purpose was to absorb arcane energy at a rapid speed. The more horns the beast had, the more powerful it was. But unlike the beast's tough skin, the horn was not entirely unbreakable.
Arca didn't suffer any significant injuries as Rain pushed her with just the right amount of force to knock her out of the way while maintaining her injuries to a minimum. She didn't hold any grudges towards Rain. She even felt grateful towards him for saving her life, taking the blow that was supposed to end her existence.
With Arca now joining in the fray and Rain, who was now wholly healed, joining in as well, it only took minutes that the Frost Titan's horn was cut off and another minute for the other one to break completely.
By the time that they completely cut off the Frost Titan's horns, Alfonse, Rever, and Ethan were almost completely drained of arcane energy while the beast remained standing, a glint of madness in its bloodshot eyes. It roared like crazy and stormed off, attacking and destroying everything in its path.
The Frost Titan had now wholly gone berserk. With its horns cut, it could no longer absorb arcane energy in mere seconds. Now, it could only rely on its body to slowly absorb arcane force.
"Ethan!"
Alfonse, Arca, and Rever all cried out when they saw that the beast was rampaging in the direction of Ethan. With Ethan's physical attribute, it would be too late to dodge nor ran.
Rain didn't hesitate anymore as he unleashed all the energy inside his body in one go and sprinted to where Ethan was.
The Frost Titan was just meters away from Ethan when it was suddenly stopped on its tracks.
ROOAARR!!
Everyone was stunned when they saw that Rain singlehandedly stopped the rampaging beast. A giant was halted on its tracks by a mere ant. The sight indeed caused one to be stunned.
"W-what is that . . . ," Arca mumbled as she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Thick cerulean light particles were enveloping Rain's body, and blue light patterns like vines were creeping from his neck to his face.
Rain pushed the beast back with all his force which caused the Frost Titan to stumble backward.
With a thud from his foot, Rain jumped from the ground and unleashed his devastating attack.
He struck his sword, and all were blurs at the speed that the naked eye couldn't catch up.
"Die!"
Four white light encompassing the length of the Frost Titan was shot from Rain's sword, aiming towards the beast.
Four massive sharp sword strikes charged towards the Frost Titan. It didn't produce any sound, and it seemed to move unhurried, but it caused the air to ripple, and that sharpness that cut even space was enough indication that the attack was powerful.
[Devine Division]
Though other skills didn't do much damage against the Frost Titan's tough skin, however, Rain's skill penetrated the thick hide of the beast as its sliced its flesh in pieces, like cutting tofu.
ROOAARR!
The final cries of the Frost Titan were the last thing that resonated in the four corners of the room.
And after that was utter silence.
Rain landed on his one knee on the ground while his sword was struck on the floor for support. His face paled as he was panting heavily. He could feel his body deteriorate as a terrifying amount of arcane force was being absorbed by his body that no ordinary human could accomplish.
Everyone was stunned at this incredible display of power. Power that they hadn't seen nor heard before.
But before they could even utter a single word, the ground rumbled and shook, and the area to where Rain was kneeling gave way as he fell on the dark abyss below.
