"W-w-what the hell is this?!"
"From all the passageway we have to choose, we chose the one having the Rank-B?!"
"Agh! What luck!"
"D-don't worry, Pamela. I, Percival, will protect you without fail!" Percival glanced at the pretty woman behind him. Then he looked over at the beast, his arcane bow in hand.
*gulped
Pamela didn't give any attention to Percival. She focused her attention on the beast, her staff at the ready.
"Hm . . . a slime, and not just any ordinary slime. Over three meters tall, encompassing a radius of more than ten meters, signifying that it's already an adult, which is very rare considering its death and growth rate. I wager that this slime is more than a hundred years old. And judging by its color, its elemental affinity is water which is weak against lightning, which in turn is a disadvantage to you as you only have control with the four basic elements and not the rare ones. I'm amazed how this creature had been brought here. Makes you wonder if the grandmaster purposely collected these beasts as pets, huh?" Morpheus said mentally to Pamela.
"Morpheus, focus. This beast is strong compared to any normal average rank-B. And with our group, it will pose as a challenge to defeat," Pamela muttered back in her mind.
"Heh! A pain that you can't use your real powers, huh. This would end in a flash if you did." Morpheus scratched its head.
Pamela didn't reply as the beast started to attack.
"Get ready, everyone!"

Meanwhile, in the other passageway.
Agh!
Kyaaah!
"Kylie! Heal!" Felysa commanded when she saw her two companions flew off and crashed against the wall when the plant type best struck them with its hundred tendrils.
"On it!"
Kylie immediately cast a spell towards their two companions, being mindful of how much energy she had left. As she cast her magic, her body simultaneously absorbed arcane force, but the amount of energy she used to cast a spell versus the rate of her absorption greatly differs.
When casting a simple spell like healing simple injuries, the amount of energy use was negligible. But for large and major injuries, complicated spells were required. These complex spells could be cast four times until the absorbed arcane energy was utterly depleted, while devastating spells drained absorbed arcane energy in one fell swoop. Sometimes, even using the body's own energy in the process.
Tsk! Of all the luck, we run into a rank-B beast. Felysa mused to herself, yet, she remained confident.
Felysa sprinted towards the gigantic plant, avoiding a hundred tendrils striking her way. With the massive size of the beast and those tendrils each thick as a person, it was hard to evade considering the tight space they were in.
But for Felysa, she was already trained in this kind of situation. For those she could evade, she evaded. For those tendrils she couldn't dodge, she would stab them all into dust with the astonishing speed of her rapier.
However, with each pulverized tendril, another one appeared.
"Kylie, now!" Felysa roared when she was meters away from the beast. She then jumped with a slight tap of her foot.
Kylie gathered all the remaining energy inside her just enough so she could cast her most devastating spell.
Soon, the surrounding fifty-meter radius around her sparkled with diamond dust as spikes after massive spikes of crystal ice struck towards the beast as it trapped it in thick, everlasting ice.
[Absolute Zero]
Felysa followed through as she unleashed her skill. Her rapier turned blur as it left mirages with its speed. Afterward, massive white force shot like thousands of shooting stars came crushing towards the beasts.
[Resoluto]
Felysa used purely physical attacks as her affinity was in the water and not really of used against their current opponent.
Although this took time to describe, all things happened in mere seconds.
BOOM!
CRUMBLE!
The gigantic beast shattered into pieces like jewels, and with the ice trapping each shattered part of the plant, it didn't have the chance to regrow. At the same time, Felysa quickly struck its arcane heart, pulverizing it into dust along with the beast's hope of regeneration.
The gigantic plant was deader than dead.
Felysa didn't have one-bit regret in destroying the arcane heart of a rank-B beast that could fetch five gold coins or more. To her, money was never a problem.
Felysa waved her hand, and her weapon turned to arcane particles, becoming one with nature once more. Then she glanced at the four girls who were now up and in good shape.
She walked towards Kylie and tapped the girl's shoulder, smiling. "You did great."
Kylie felt her heart melted as so did the other girls. Watching Felysa in action like a Valkyrie descended into battle, strong, beautiful, and mesmerizing, they felt admiration and worship for her.
RUMBLE!
Felysa and the others turned towards that rumbling sound. Out of the blue, in the tightly enclosed space, a small crevice opened with a size of a door.
"Is that . . ."
"That must be the passageway way leading to the exit!"
The girls all exclaimed, looking excited and relieved.
"Let's go, don't let your guard down." Felysa was smiling, thinking that they were the first group to finish the right of passage.
Rain Rizwalde. Let's see who is the greatest master in the art of the sword in the entire four kingdoms. Felysa mused to herself as she walked in unhurried steps towards that newly opened passageway.
