Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

A sigh was heard from the man who had just laid down on the big bed.

The eyes of the man with slightly wet hair closed. Although he's little tired from having to walk around the building of the publishing company he had just led, Alder was very satisfied because he had found the girl he had been looking for all this time.

The corners of Alder's lips lifted. The dark brown ceiling of the room filled his vision after opening his eyes.

The image of the tiny face that he had met this morning flashed again. Then the incident that he did in the market seemed to be replayed in front of him.

Alder did not regret meeting that girl again even though his proposal was not accepted. That's how men should deal with. Nothing is easy when it comes to life. But as a human being, especially a man, adversity will make him stronger.

Also, how could Alder regret it if he met the woman he had been looking for all this time?

Nothing is a coincidence. Alder strongly believes in how fate intervened between him and Lova. Given the amount of effort he put into finding that girl, it seemed like the word coincidence sounded too trivial.

Because the effort will not betray the results. That woman's face could be seen again. Lova greeted him with an annoyed expression, frowning, also surprised. Alder really liked that welcome.

It does look a little pushy because without thinking Alder immediately bought almost all of the shares in the publishing company when he found out that Lova worked there. There was no other purpose than to meet that girl every day. Have more opportunities to propose Lova, again and again.

It wasn't going to be easy, and Alder knew it would be like that.

Oh right! Before going to the publishing house, Alder stopped by his father's hospital to drop off some files that his father had left. Another good news, Alder met Arnav, Lova's younger brother who turned out to be carrying out the internship process at the hospital owned by his family.

"Brother Arnav?"

The face of the man in front of him wrinkled, a sign that he no longer recognized Alder who greeted him. Alder smiled and held out his hand.

"How are you, bro?" asked Alder after Arnav returned his post.

"Well..I'm fine," replied Arnav sounding doubtful.

"I'm Alder." Arnav's brows furrowed, still trying to remember. "Junior high school students who used to often play in your boarding house with a bicycle," continued Alder with a smile.

Arnav's eyes moved upwards for a moment before his face brightened. "Oh my gosh! Is this really you, Al?" asked Arnav in disbelief.

Alder chuckled. "Yeah, it's me, bro."

"You're grown up now, and handsome. Why are you here? Anyone sick?" asked Arnav sounding familiar.

"No, bro. I just want to take the file upstairs." Alder pointed to the topmost building in the hospital. Arnav just nodded, realizing that what Alder was pointing at was the floor where the chief director was. "Work here, bro?"

"Oh, no. I mean not yet." Arnav chuckles at his confidence. "I discharge my internship."

Alder nodded. "Good luck, bro. I'll go upstairs first. After this, I have still other work."

"Oh yes, sure. See you, Al." Alder just smiled broadly as he left Arnav.

One thing that made him happy when he met Arnav at the hospital is one day he would not have to rely on other people to manage his family's hospital to others like his father did now.

Because if Alder marries Lova later, Arnav is very appropriate to become a CEO and is trusted to lead his family hospital.

Alder chuckled, realizing that his mind was already filled with the image of living with a beautiful figure named Arlova Zemira.

~.~.~.~

Lova yawned widely in a dark blue shirt that was tucked into a mix of slightly loose from her white pants. After a bit of a fight with Arnav who dropped her off this morning, Lova walked towards the building where she worked.

Lova's fingers through her hair to tidy up when she reached the elevator door. The girl immediately entered after the empty elevator opened. Someone held the elevator door which was almost closed.

"Good morning, my future wife."

Lova's eyes widened. Alder entered the elevator in a dark blue slimfit shirt with the sleeves folded up to his elbows. Lova immediately took her distance and stood in the corner of the narrow elevator.

"We're really a mate, aren't we?" Lova just looked at Alder who smiled at him. "Look our matching clothes."

The girl's eyes spun around. "Good morning, Mr. Alder." Lova looked down briefly to lazily say good morning greetings.

Alder chuckled. "Didn't I tell you to call Alder?"

And Lova pretended not to hear the man beside her. But a movement Lova felt, made her head turn automatically. The man with the apple scent approached her. Standing right in front of Lova's small body. The flat-nosed girl held her breath as she felt Alder's hand caress her head and gently tidy up her hair.

Lova looked up. Looking for the eyes of the man who now doesn't even miss to look at her face with a smile.

"I always love seeing your as yourself like this. Looks sexy." Lova narrowed her eyes. "Teaching and being a teacher doesn't seem right for you. Too neat and orderly."

A snort came out of Lova's breath. The girl was well aware that Alder was making fun of her now.

"Just stay away from me. Before I actually kicked your little brother and was hated by all your fans in this building." Lova said annoyed.

Ting.

Alder's chuckle coincided with the sound of the elevator opening. Immediately Lova got up from where she was standing to avoid Alder.

"Hey, Lova." She even no longer have a care with the voice of Alder who repeatedly called.

~.~.~.~

Lova threw herself on the chair. Leaning her head with closed eyes.

"I don't want to greet you. That face must be in a bad mood."

"You really know me best, Eve."

"Morning which is mean we are start our day, it should come to work with a smile and a bright face. Not a frowning face like this."

"Okay, Evelyn. You are not greet me indeed, but you scolded me."

Evelyn just chuckled when she saw Lova started to turn on her computer. "Seeing Alder again, Lov?"

Lova just nodded. Knowing that Evelyn was peeking at her from their adjoining desks.

"Just accept him, Lov."

The round-eyed girl looked at Evelyn with a cold face. "You better not talk to me, Eve."

Evelyn raised the corner of her upper lip with an annoyed face. "My old maid friend's mood can't be helped."

Lova just sighed and returned with her computer. Complete the translation which is expected to be completed by the end of this month. For the double bonus promised by Gustian.

"But, you really don't like Alder, Lov? He's such a handsome boy." Evelyn's voice heard again.

Lova put her pen firmly on the table. Produced a sound that made Evelyn jump in surprise. "Do you like Alder? Just take him for you."

"Ugh, nope. I'm just a fan of handsome boys. There's nothing wrong with admiring God's creation, you know."

"You keep wanting so much for me to be with Alder, then why is that so?"

Evelyn's face turned shy. Glancing at the glass screen behind Lova, who immediately understood and also saw. It was clear that Rizal's desk was directly across from behind Lova's desk.

"Do you like Rizal?" Lova screamed softly with her eyes wide. The late married virgin who was the same as Lova nodded with a shy smile. "Since when?" With a bright face Lova grabbed Evelyn's arm.

"It's been a long time, Lov. From the first time we entered this publishing."

"Why are you only telling me now?"

"Everyone also knows this time, Lov, that Rizal likes you. But you're not sensitive enough to recognize it."

Lova smiled faintly. "Are you afraid of being rejected by Rizal?"

"It's not like that, Lov. I thought you two were already together. After I heard your story about Alder, I don't think you have any relationship with anyone anymore. That's why I dare to speak."

She took Evelyn's hand with a friend's smile. "Eve. I don't have any feelings for Rizal. And I will never accept Rizal's feelings for me. I will really support it if you and Rizal can be together."

Evelyn's face brightened. "But can't I say if I like him first?"

"What is wrong with it? Women's emancipation, uh. Just trying, right?"

"What if I get rejected?"

"Try again. If you got a rejected again, yes try again. But, if the third attempt is rejected too, leave it! You're beautiful, there are a lot of Rizals out there."

Evelyn smiled contentedly. "It's not a loss to have an insane friend like you, Lov."

"It's okey to be insane, the important thing is I'm still beautiful."

"Yes, you are. But still a virgin who late for marriage."

"Shit!"
