With team Kami advancing to the 3rd stage they head back to the spectator section, to see their future combatants compete amongst themselves.
Next up representing the Sabaku no Mura team Suna consisted of Scorch who towered over every other participant and relied on his element with the combination of his physical strength.
Team Suna's third member was named Swift she was the only female member representing Sabaku no Mura, she wasn't particularly skilled in any category but was a well-balanced sorcerer.
The last member was nicknamed "The Ace Child" and is considered the replacement for Suna when he steps down as the leader of Sabaku no Mura. Out of all the cadets, he is regarded as the most dangerous and has the best control over his element and abilities. He goes by the name Suru.
"That's him the one they call Suru, Hado sensei warned us about him," Jasmine whispered to her team members.
"It seems so," Unmei replied.
"There are so many strong sorcerers here," Miyamoto said nervously.
"Hey, I know that guy!" Manjiro shouted, "that bastard chucked me across the city with his sand move in the first stage."
"Not only am I going beat the crap out of Miyamoto, Shita, and the Unmei guy I'm going to beat the shit out of this guy as well." Manjiro thought to himself while smirking.
"He's probably thinking about beating my ass isn't he?" Shita theorizes recognizing Manjiro's smirk.
"Now let's begin!" Shouts Meiwa
"All right let's bash some heads!" Scorch screams.
"Calm down," Suru replies, "The reason meatheads like you don't advance to greater heights is because of the lack of brain cells you possess."
Swift chuckles at Suru's comments, which causes Scorch to become bright red in anger.
He squats down and puts his hands outwards facing the opponent in the opposite building over 30 meters away.
"Magnet Element: Pull!"
The closest cadet on the opposite building starts flying towards team Suna, not only that the closest spectators hold on to there are seats as they also start getting pulled towards Scorch.
As the cadet flies close to Scorch he gets held by his face and slammed through the building making a hole in the center of the ceiling.
"That magnet pull just used was extremely powerful I almost got pulled in myself, they might be greater than those black holes that demon used," Lavender thinks to herself.
"That's one!" Scorch shouts.
"Good for you, you can count to one," Suru replies.
"The next two are your's Suru, I don't like having attention on me," Swift replies.
Suru starts walking toward the cadets.
"Is he going to fire an attack from there?" Shita questions
"Hmph does he really think he can attack at such a range?" Unmei remarks.
In a single blink, Suru appears on his opponent's building.
The crowd gives a sound of shock.
"Was that an ability, like flash step?" Shita says in shock, "No I didn't sense him giving off any curse energy that was raw speed."
"He might rival Miyamoto in speed," Unmei remarks, "Interesting."
As Suru stares down his opponents they both rush him.
Without moving Suru whispers.
"Sand Element, Sand wall."
A wall composed of sand surrounds him blocking the attacks of the two sorcerers, Suru then breaks through the wall with his hand grabbing one of the sorcerers by the throat.
As the other sorcerer runs towards Suru he jumps into the air and goes in for a kick. Suru drops the sorcerer he's holding onto the ground and ducks the kick, causing the sorcerer in the air to fly past him.
Suru sweeps the sorcerer to the ground causing him to fall onto his back, then grabs the sorcerer who flew past him by his hood slamming him onto the ground.
Suru walks towards the opposition's flag and grabs it securing the win.
Team Suna advances to the third round.
Now with a total of two teams advancing only four more can proceed to the next round.
Team Yoake was next to the stage.
Their team leader Yoake is considered one of the strongest in Heiwa no Mura only behind three other sorcerers who were considered once-in-a-lifetime prodigies.
His team members included Atlas a young firey sorcerer who rarely relies on her elements, but conserves her cursed energy and uses it on techniques that take up less energy.
The second member of team Yoake was named Yami, who his team leader considered to have the qualities of a future village leader. He scored the highest grade on written exams in the academy. However, his lack of care is his biggest weakness as he would rather sleep than train to increase his power.
Lastly, standing next to Atlas and Yami stood a simple-minded blond-haired boy whose main goal for taking part in the games was to come across strong individuals.
In the first stage, this cadet crossed paths with Manjiro, in which he let Manjiro escape from his grasp he went by the name Taimu.
"Hey Yami," Taimu said while pointing across their opponents, "They don't seem strong."
Yami sighed "Isn't that a good thing?" He replied.
"How is that a good thing? It's not fun beating up a bunch of weaklings, my grandpa wouldn't be impressed by this
I probably don't even need to intervene with this stage, Atlas can take em."
"I agree I'm not in the mood to fight either," Yami said yawning.
Atlas looked at her two teammates as one sat on the floor and the other fell asleep while standing.
"Alright, I guess it's just me."
