It makes Allynna more nervous. She quickly left Sir Leon towards the kitchen while scolding him in her heart. This man is so stingy in his voice and choice of words. She has been talking a lot since then, but he has only spoken twice.
Allynna felt she wanted to cry against this mysterious man. He's the only one who can make her like this. As far as she remembers, she never felt intimidated by men. She was always courageous with anyone she met, in whatever situation. But with him? Everything was the opposite.
She went to the kitchen and expertly prepared Earl Grey tea, one of her favorite teas.
"Sir Leon, this is Earl Grey tea. I'm using freshly boiled water. You will love it." she said as she put the cup in front of him and warm milk and sugar cubes in two small porcelain containers because she didn't know his favorite tea.
And as Allynna had expected, this mysterious man didn't answer. He just nodded slowly. Despite not showing any particular expression, Sir Leon looked calm and peaceful.
This island was deserted at precisely 9 pm. There were no more restaurants or shops open. There were not many cars on the street either. But this man still visited her house.
After silently sighing, Allynna finally asks him again about his intention to see her this late at night. But, once again, Sir Leon ignored her and was only silent. Gracefully, he added milk and sugar to his Earl Gray tea and slowly sipped it.
Allynna was speechless. She knew he was stalling for time.
If he didn't start to speak in five more minutes, Allynna thought of leaving this man alone to go up to the second floor to sleep. Let this man do what he wants. She was tired of dealing with him, who was ungenerous to talk to her.
She glanced at the clock on the wall above the TV and counted the five minutes. Sir Leon finally opened his mouth as the clock ticked to the fourth minute.
"Miss Allynna, I came here to cheer you up before your national exam starts on Monday..." He said calmly, yet his tone was icy. He put the teacup on the table, and his eyes stared at the girl; he didn't speak.
She can only say in her mind, "OK, and…?" Her eyes glued into his golden shining eyes made her feel like she was under his spell.
He continued, "On Tuesday, after your last exam, we will fly immediately to the Capital. Make sure to finish your packing before that…."
Allynna froze because what she heard differed from what he said, "And I miss you, my future bride…Miss Allynna Frost"
Allynna was dumbstruck.
"WHAT? He just said he misses me. Does this icy man miss me? Did I hear wrong? Did he miss me? My lord..." She could only say those words in her mind. Because she still could not say a single word at the moment, as if Sir Leon put a spell on her so she couldn't speak.
"Anything else you want to know about Miss Allynna?" His lips curled up into a playful smile.
Allynna finally could gain her freedom to speak when Sir Leon averted his gaze. She quickly shook her head and said 'NO' in a voice only she could hear. But deep in her mind, she told…
"Alright, now you see me. Please go home. I'm a little bit intimidated by you right now." She wanted to say that, but she did not dare to. She just lowered her head to see her toe. She is so nervous about staying in the same room with Sir Leon. Moreover, they were alone in her house.
"Miss Allynna, may I ask a question?" Suddenly, Sir Leon's voice was heard again. Allynna raised her head to look at him.
"Yes, you can say it..."
"I saw some boxes in the foyer. Do you want to send them somewhere? Or are they the stuff you will bring to the Capital?"
Allynna shook her head. "No, those boxes, I want to donate them. Tomorrow, I plan to go to the other side of the island to drop it at the orphan house…." Allynna paused when she realized she didn't have a vehicle. His father's car is still in the car workshop because it was destroyed. There was only one person to ask for help: Uncle Arathorn. However, she was a little reluctant to ask him.
"I'll take you there… If you don't mind." Sir Leon said.
Allynna was stunned. Sir Leon immediately answered the vehicle problem she was thinking about. Her eyes were delighted, and she happily agreed to his offer. Now, she didn't need to ask Uncle Arathorn for help.
"And I want to remind you once again. I'm here to cheer you up and pick you up at school… Then, after you finish your exams on Tuesday, we'll fly straight to the Capital. You'd better pack the clothes or important documents you bring to the Capital."
Allynna was stunned.
"Alright, it's getting late. I'm leaving now—no need to lead me outside. Just lock the door. I'll help you lock your gate..." He said, then walked out of the living room.
Allynna, sitting in her place, watched Sir Leon's back disappear without being able to say anything. After she came to her senses, she stood up and looked at her front yard, but she didn't see Sir Leon and the gate was locked.
"Huh? Where is he going? Hadn't the car left him already? He's back on foot?" She murmurs.
Allyna was confused. She stood silently on her terrace, trying to hear Sir Leon's step or the car's sound, but she did not hear any sound. After a while, her body shivered after a gust of wind slapped her face gently. She immediately walked inside her house and locked the door.
After cleaning the living room and turning off the lights, she went up to the second floor.
Today, she spends her time cooking and tidying up her parents' things, making her body feel sore. Now, all she needs is soaking in her bathtub with warm water and aromatherapy.
