Chapter 10 - Chapter 9: The Danger Of The Villain

She entered into the carriage and asked for Irliona and Sophella to sit at the front row while she at the private back roll as she collapsed unto the carriage seat and her face turned white.

The feeling of being so close to death was so…scary.

Though she had appeared to be unfazed, she was very scared.

Still she had died once she was still scared of dying.

A sword being pointed directly to your neck knowing any moment it would slice through made her shake in fear as she cuddled herself.

Unlike those characters in books who would bravely charge towards death, she was very scared.

It was her mistake for not thinking before she spoke. Only the Duke, Harim and 'that person', as the Duke referred to the male lead as, knew were Mareeonel was. Which was an academy in a little kingdom.

Everyone else only knew she was in the old Garcia territory due to poor health. But Erionella knew this because she had read the novel.

However, the Duke wouldn't have known Erionella had read the novel which was apparently his world and life.

Her butterflies surrounded her and she felt better knowing they were there to save her, but she felt herself get weaker as she had used them.

She knew making a deal with the Duke would be dangerous as he was the villain of the story who has madness flowing in his veins.

She had to be more careful. Because if the 'Lord of Nightmares', wasn't destroyed, the world would be the one that would end up destroyed. And her soul would be shattered into a million pieces through different times and dimensions.

But first she needed to rest her body. At least for a few minutes.

Crinoel sat angrily at his desk and put his hands on his chin.

'She knows too much. I think she even knows more than she's letting on. If it's from the 'source' that she claims, then how did they find out?  My plans are only told to Harim. Though 'that person' usually thinks out my plans.

What if she's working with 'that person', no if 'that person' had access to a mage he would have already taken action.

Or isn't she a mage? No I saw the magic circle, and those butterflies just now'

His mind went back to the swarm of butterflies around him that surrounded his sword that magically disappeared.

'They seemed like magical creatures. But I shouldn't have gone all out like that. If she is as powerful as how she is appearing to be it won't be good to get on her bad side. I guess it's best to take Harim's advice'

A few hours later Erionella was informed that the Duke was here to take her for an outing.

"My lady be very careful! He just pointed a sword at your neck just today!" Sophella said nervously as she remembered the morning's event.

"Yes, I will. Did you by chance tell mother or father about the incident?" Erionella asked as she rubbed away the sleep from her eyes.

"Not yet, Irliona said we shouldn't" Sophella said.

"I thought it would be best to wait and hear from the lady." Irliona said as she bowed respectfully.

"Your decision was wise" Erionell said as she looked through a gown which would be fit for outing.

"I hope my decisions in the future will be GOLD ideas" Irliona said as she looked intently at Erionella with a shine in her eyes.

"Fine, 10 large cold coins for you and Sophella" Erionella said as she got up from the bed.

"Oh, my lady! Ten gold coins?! It's too much!" Sophella gushed.

"Then give it to me" Irliona said bluntly as she looked at Sophella.

"I said it's too much. I didn't say I'm not taking it" Sophella said with a bright smile as she turned away from Irliona and brought out a gown for Erionella.

It was a simple blue gown which covered the neck and shoulders but showed a bit of the back and went a little below the knees.

Though all the gowns were pretty, she really missed her snug jeans.

She went to the drawing room and met with the Duke who had dressed rather plainly.

But his noble air could never be doubted as he sat with his legs crossed and his signature cold expression on his face as he looked deeply at Erionella.

"I greet you Duke" Erionella said with a slight curtsy as she sent back his unwavering gaze to him.

"I'd like to apologize for my behavior earlier. I over reacted and lashed out wrongly and I would like to make up for it. Wherever you want to go, whatever you want, my treat" Crinoel apologized coolly.

'Oh I see. Apologizing using your riches~ Eh, I don't really mind as long as we can cooperate. And I have been really itching for an outing'

"Apology accepted~" Erionella smiled happily as she blinked cutely. "Well first of all I'd like to go to a place where the finest chocolate is served~"

"Okay" Crinoel replied shortly and stood from the couch and took Erionella's hand as they walked outside.

To the people who saw the view of the two walking together hand in hand awed at the romantic view, but to Erionella all she saw was the plates of chocolate in her future.

And it would be good to stabilize her magical energy as doing things she enjoyed would stabilize her magical energy.

Not only that, but also it would be small revenge on the Duke by injuring his bank account.

But she doubted her plan would succeed due to his powerful financial status. Besides, in novels 'exhausting the guy's bank account', never worked.

And she was now in a novel.

Sir Hulio's gourmet deserts were the best. Especially his ice-cream and chocolate which left and oh so joyous taste in one's mouth.

Erionella had almost forgotten all her fear for the Duke and even pushed a spoon of ice-cream towards the Duke's mouth.

"Don't worry it's not strawberry, it just looks like straw berry flavored ice-cream, I know you don't like strawberries. As your fiancée, it's my duty to know your likes and dislikes~" Erionella said cheerily as she forced a spoon into his mouth.

Crinoel summoned Sir Hulio personally and asked a question that had been pressing him for the thirty minutes after they had entered the gourmet shop "Is there by chance any alcohol in the deserts you served me?"

"No, Duke" Sir Hulio answered nervously.

"So is it possible for someone to be drunk after taking too much deserts?" Crinoel asked as he glanced over to Erionella who stuffed her face with little sandwiches.

"I've never seen anyone getting drunk over deserts"

After five minutes Crinoel dragged Erionella back into the carriage where she was full of smiles and joy.

'Ah, I've refilled all the energy my butterflies took away. Now what's next? Hmm, how about we go shopping for dresses'

"How about a boutique next?" Erionella asked as she observed Crinoel's calm reaction.

"Sure"

Splash. The liquid poured all over the lady with brown hair and green eyes who squeezed her hand fan angrily at the laughs of all the customers in the boutique.

"I am Elisa, the daughter of Count Julian! And yet you do this! I will NEVER forget this Erionella Renowarin!"

She angrily stomped out of the boutique in tears at the laughter and murmurs of the customers.

'Damn it. I think I just messed up. I just entered this boutique ten minutes ago and yet this has happened!'

What happened and who is this lady Erionella encountered?
