It was all white, plain and quiet. The Private had been looking at the same panorama for about a day now, the child enclosed in the same plain, white, well-lit, and quiet room. He hadn't moved from his spot at all.
He was sitting in a corner with his head down on his knees, and he hadn't looked up even once. Private Joshua was only looking at him. He wasn't confined, but he wasn't allowed to do anything other than look at Samuel.
Private Jonathan visited him from time to time only to look at Samuel, sitting alone in the confined room. No one went inside to see him as per orders. They were only allowed to look at him. Private Joshua, however, was ordered to monitor him for as long as Bradley wanted.
