"I burnt the entire place down, Mikhail," Samuel said, in between remorse and no remorse.
"I would've done the same," Mikhail replied.
Nancy looked at both the men simultaneously, trying to grasp the situation with her little-to-none memory. She was scared of how ragged both the men looked. What exactly could they have gone through to be here?
"How is your wound?" Samuel asked.
"Thankfully, the bullet only grazed me a little. It's enough to bear." Mikhail replied in a voice and manner unusual to Nancy's ears.
She couldn't tell if he was a policeman of some sort or not because the way he talked to Samuel was strange. He gave off a soldier aura with how disciplined he worded things.
"That is good." Samuel exhaled.
"How are you, Miss Nancy?" Mikhail looked at her and asked.
Nancy was alarmed. Miss Nancy? This was strange to her in ways she couldn't describe.
