"So…" Nancy awkwardly muttered, walking alongside the man. "Why can't I remember you?"
"I would like to know myself, too," Samuel said. "It is okay. Do not force yourself unnecessarily. The goal is to get you out safely, not to get your memories back."
Nancy nodded, "Why do you think I can't remember though?"
"Probably because you conducted something you should not have done," Samuel said as he looked at her from the corner of his eye. "But it is alright. As long as you are alive and well, that is all that matters."
Nancy nodded again. It was honestly still incomprehensible for her. Something that she, along with the others took months to learn wouldn't just sit right in her head right away. There was no immortality left to prove to her what had happened either.
Maybe it was better this way.
"Okay, tell me more about the voices in my head," Nancy said, her curiosity still peaking like ever before.
