It had been 5 hours since Samuel and Mikhail had been staring at each other. The room was dark, and the two were tied to chairs facing each other. It was like forcing two people to meet up and talk, but that wasn't the point. Not a single soldier had come to check up on them. The two hadn't attempted to escape somehow as there were visible cameras installed at the corners of the walls, leaving no blind spots.
So the two just stared at each other for most of the time.
"Say," Samuel muttered. "If I end up becoming an eternal monster, would you still stay by my side?" He asked.
"Is that a question?" Mikhail narrowed his eyes, "Obviously."
Samuel chuckled and smiled. "Then maybe turning into an immortal is not that bad."
Mikhail nodded helplessly. It wasn't like they had hope to cling onto, so they just stayed put, talking about the consequences prior to the actual events.
