The cab stopped at the foot of the hills, and a small farewell was said to the driver as Samuel left the car to fall along the heights. The cab drew away behind him as he forwarded toward the hills. Another cab just then, stopped behind him, with Roth coming out and watching his son climb the hill. He waited for his son's back to become smaller, increasing the distance to seem a little bit less suspicious.
Samuel's back gradually became smaller and smaller for Roth to see, so he decided to walk along the footprints of what Samuel had left behind on the thin layer of translucent snow that had accumulated on the heights within a few minutes, a small storm perhaps.
The hills weren't too high, but the snow was storming slowly with the horror sound of the grave wind swirling around them. It was going to get covered by snow entirely overnight.
