Sebastian walked downstairs to the basement with Bradley's soldiers and reached the room they were keeping Samuel in. The room was also being guarded by Bradley's men, and the soldier who had come along with Sebastian informed them that Bradley had permitted the man to see Samuel.
The permission was given. Hence, the door was opened and left for Sebastian to see Samuel.
"No one comes inside," Sebastian said as he walked inside and the door behind him closed shut.
The man saw his son seated on the ground with his head in his hands and blood dripping all over his arms. The bleeding seemed to have stopped, and a bullet shell was on the ground right next to him. His fingers and palms were covered with thick blood.
"Samuel?" Sebastian hesitantly called him out in years had he spoken his name out loud to him like this again.
Samuel raised his head to look who had called him, disappointment oozing in his eyes and despair lingering on his face.
