"H-How was it like?" Hertwig mustered up his courage to ask.
The slight rubbing sound from the plates and paper towel's interaction took over the sounds for a while before Samuel let out a sigh.
"Shall you know, and your nights will also be sabotaged by the fury of your mind's thought process," Samuel said. "It was not pleasant."
"Sorry," Hertwig muttered. "I just found it hard to believe."
"It is alright," Samuel replied politely as he finished rubbing all the dishes dry.
"Is it, though?" Hertwig twisted the tap close before setting his places to the side to dry them up as well. "You can talk, you know? Just how you said you'd listen, I'll listen too."
Samuel nodded to the boy. He then walked back to his room to get changed for the first day of college. He was going to major in mathematics as the tests he had taken proved him to be the most suitable for that.
