After checking everything, he leaves the dungeon. Not surprisingly he teleported back to his cottage where he was living for a week with Matilda for trading purposes. Although he was inside of the dungeon for around 6 hours only an hour has passed in the real world, this was one of the pros of the dungeon.
After mysteriously reappearing in his room he felt a gaze was boring on him.
His face turned pale because there is only one person in his cottage except for him, and if that person is here then that calls for the bad news.
"Big sister Matilda, aren't you supposed to be cleansing your absolutely divine, attractive, and pure body?" Reiji voiced out with a smile that can put the best schemers to shame.
"Little Rei, I would have been a lot happier had you choose to flatter me on other times" Matilda countered with a smile that screams danger.
Reiji's smile stiffened
Reiji had already prepared everything beforehand before departing on his dungeon conquest he also picked the time where his grandma Matilda was supposed to bathe and her bath goes on for at least 2 hours.
Never in his wildest dream had he considered the possibility that his guardian is a powerhouse on her rights she immediately sensed when Reiji disappeared and was waiting since near his door.
'What should I do!? what should I do?!'
He was brainstorming in his mind about what to do. His heartbeat raised.
If he wanted to he could have come up with an excuse by now but he doesn't want that. Ever since he has been reborn in this world he has found a lot of things. But the most precious one was a caring family which he didn't get even in his previous life.
On earth, his parents were extremely busy, living there was a lot more complicated and busy than here thats why at that time he thought that its normal to live such a stressful life. In this world, on the other hand, life is a lot more free, simple, and peaceful here he spends more time with his loving caring family.
And lying to them was the last thing he wants.
When he was thinking of a way to escape this dilemma he heard something.
Neigh! Neigh!
Sounds of horses could be heard from outside the house.
Haaaa...
Reiji sighed in relief, as he said "Aunt looks like a merchant has come let's see what he has for us" Reiji smiled
"Reiji! It's been so long since I have seen you. where are you?" Reiji heard the sound of his grandpa who just came to the cottage to pick him and Matilda from the village.
Reiji was shocked about how royally he had screwed this up. Then something hit him.
'What will Grandma tell to my grandpa?'
He grew even more anxious.
"Oh come on you just saw him last week. and aren't you here early?" Matilda voiced out with a neutral tone.
"Did I come at the wrong time elder?"
David said sensing the tension in the air.
"No. On the contrary, you came at the perfect time" Matilda said taking a sidelong glance at Reiji. "Little Rei was driving me nuts complaining about how he was feeling homesick just now"
"Oh, is that so " David looked at Reiji with an expression thats says 'I know I know. "Don't worry grandson I. am. here. Hahaha," he added after picking his grandson and hugging him heartily.
Reiji was startled by Matilda's statement but said nothing about it,he was grateful to her.
"Grandson you are not the only one who is feeling homesick. Believe me when I say this Arizona has been nagging me for hours to go and get you from this crappy place" David said with a wide grin plastered on his face.
"I am pretty sure it's you who came early to meet your grandson " Matilda nagged.
"You may be right about that but...
What do you know? You don't know how it feels to be separated from your beloved grandson" He retorted while walking toward the exit carrying Reiji on his shoulders.
"Hahaha...
You two are so funny"
Reiji laughed riding on Davids's shoulder. As David left the cottage and sunlight fell on Reiji's face his marine blue hairs started shining, coupled with a wide innocent smile on his face showing all of his white teeth was enough to put David and Matilda in a daze.
"It's officially confirmed, you are the most handsome boy in the village other than me," David's distant voice could be heard as he closed in on the carriage.
"How can you say that David when he is leagues above you in terms of charms!"
Matilda shouted.
