***Gehenna's Point of View***
The air was cold. The coldness of the air brushing upon my cheek as I sighed, turning to the army of men behind me.
"Today I am challenging your general" I announce. "I will win the right to command you!" I yell to the men as laughter flows through the crowd. And a disapproving look from William in response. As I walk to him, as he pulls off my coat, revealing my trousers and humble shirt.
"Why must you challenge him?" My husband ask as I smile.
"I know how to win the trust of small minded men" I remind him as he nods his head at me and I walk to the podium.
"I hope you won't mind" I say as I point behind the soldiers. "I invited some loyal subjects to watch this fight" I wave to them as they settle.
"These are my men!" The general claims through his grainy voice as I chuckle.
"Show me then!" I declare as he pulls a sword and I wiggle my finger to his dismay.
"Hand to hand" I command him as he slides the sword back into its casing as I bow to him.
"I thought you don't bow?" William ask me as I smirk.
"Unless I'm about to pain somebody" I state as the general steps to me as I smile, finally showing my whole smile.
As the general throws a punch and I duck, kicking his feet right from under him.
"NOT FAIR!" He detest my name as I laugh.
"Nothing is fair in the battle field!" I claims as he falls silent.
Running up on me again. As he tries to slap me as I catch his hand with mine, forcing his hands into his own face as he falls down in agony for his nose.
"I see I've won" I speak too soon as the general arises in his rage, his eyes red with fire as he grabs the sword in his holder and I stay still.
"NOTHING IN THE BATTLEFIELD IS FAIR!" He screams as he brings the sword down on me as I chuckle. Grabbing the sword in my own hand and kicking him as he falls backwards. While I strike the sword down, just barely enough to scratch him and catch his clothing to the podium. Keeping him stuck to the podium as I smile.
"HE LOST!" I yell in victory. "Does anyone know why?" I ask as the crowd falls silent, not even a whisper could be heard. "He lost because he fought like a man" I explain, "I will teach you to be the best warriors around here!" I declare as I can see the doubt in one mans face before me.
"How?" He ask as I smile upon him. Fighting men always made me unusually happy.
"Because, I will teach you how to fight like a woman" I admit as laughs erupt through the whole crowd as the female servants shift in their shoes. "Women hold more power than you ever know! As soldiers you must adapt, as men you must learn" I tell them as I walk off the podium, the soldiers still erupting in whispers and scolds. "So…" I command, "Let's train!" My cold, icy voice breaks through the field.
"Are you sure you want to train these men?" William ask me as I nod my head. "They could kill my you!" He exaggerates as I sigh at his assumption.
"Do you have any idea how many men I've killed?" I ask him. "How many people have you killed?" I ask him as he indulges me.
"Four" his answer cold and short as I chuckle.
"I've killed forty in my short life time, I'm more that sure I need to train these men, without my training they would fall apart" I reason with him as I walk away from him, off the podium and into the field. "NOW!" I scream, "LETS TRAIN!" I demand of the men as they fight one another as I sigh.
"What do you think of your army?" He ask me as I sigh, leaning closer to him.
"Right now they are nothing, but I can make them warriors, not soldiers" I pride myself as I find myself worrying about their stance. "But they are horribly trained!" I criticize them, "Which one of them is your best soldier?" I ask him as he laughs.
"You could never defeat him!" He revels in his make believe reality.
"There is no doubt in my head I couldn't" I pridefully answer him as he smiles
"It's me" he cheerfully says as I break out in laughter.
"No, I won't fight you" I deny the thought of combat with my newly found husband.
"Why not?" He ask me as I smirk to his denial.
"Because, fighting you would be as bad as me fighting a small child" I brag as he smirks at my confidence.
"Will it?" He ask me as I nod my head in agreement from before.
"It will" I say as he smiles.
"Then I challenge you!" He tell me as I smirk.
"You really want this?" I ask him as his eyes tell me enough. As I hold my fist in the air and the soldiers stop fighting. "Somebody has challenged me. According to him, he is the best fighter in the kingdom!" I brag as I look to him, the look of something to prove to me in his eyes.
"Your majesty?" Benjamin quips from behind him. "I don't think this is a good idea" Benjamin adds.
"Good thing you aren't paid to think!" William says as he throws his coat to the ground and steps to me, evens though he was slightly taller, I feared nothing.
"I'll go easy on you" I tell him, "Wouldn't want to hurt that pretty face of yours" I say, my finger cupping his chin as he held my hand in his.
"Something to prove Princess?" He ask me as I smile at him.
"Nothing, just talent to show for" I says as I tears my hand from his as I back away from him. As he draws his sword and I look up to him. "Use your advantage, I'll stick to my hands" I command of him as he nods. "NOW DRAW!" I yell as he draws his swords.
As he charges towards me as I hold him off and his sword with my wrists at the handle of the sword as I push him back. As he stumbles of his fight.
"I thought you said you were the best?" I question him as he charges to me. While I kick him down, holding the sword in my hands, pushing it into his neck.
"Good job" he tells me as he looks to the sword on his neck. "Do you mind?" He ask as I remove the spotless blade as I help him to his feet.
"Your might be the best soldier here, but I'm raising warrior" I tell him as I put my petticoat back on. "BE PREPARED TO BE RIGHTFULLY TRAINED TOMORROW!" I say, leaving as with a smile on my face, knowing I was better than him, I had the power over him now.
