Chapter 21 - The Fitting

When they had finally arrived at the central mall outlets, Klystron parked his Carrera near the mall and entered it with Tiffany grumbling behind. It was just past 7 o'clock, or says the clock in the mall.

He strode purposefully to a designer dress store called Queen. As they walked in, Tiffany gasped as she surveyed her surrounding; the store was rather large with crystal chandeliers and marble countertops filled with dress deigns and accessories. Different brands and styles of dresses were displayed elegantly around the store as well.

A sales clerk walked up to them, startling Tiffany, and asked, "Welcome to Queen. Do you need any help finding anything?"

Klystron stepped forward and replied smoothly, "Yes actually, we are coming to pick up two dresses that I had custom made, my name is Kyle Davis."

The sales person nodded, "My name is Logan, right this way please."

She led the way over to the center of the store and typed up something into her computer. "Are you Mr. Kyle Davis at this address?"

"Yes, that I am dear," winked Klystron and Logan blushed. Tiffany rolled her eyes.

"And you are here to pick up two dresses, an embellished silver and gold cocktail dress by Fendi and a blush-pink ball gown with a thick train by Christian Dior?" checked Logan, glancing up at Klystron.

Klystron nodded, "If you could just bring the two dresses here, I wish for her to try them on and pick one."

Logan inclined her head in answer and went to get the dresses.

"So you already picked out the dresses? And they're not very cheap by the sounds of it either," muttered Tiffany, eyeing him wearily.

"Yes princess, now all you should do is to pick one, then we'll go and pick up your shoes and mask as well." Replied Klystron smirking at her, his eyes glinting.

Tiffany rolled her eyes just as Logan reappeared and beckoned her over to the fitting rooms.

"Ladies in, gentlemen out," she stared at Klystron pointedly, and closed the door to the fitting room. The room was huge with mirrors lined at every wall.

"Now, which one would you like to try on first?" she pointed to two terrific gowns hanging carefully on two pegs.

One was mostly gold with silver here and there, the design was very in style. It was sleeveless with an intricately designed corset decorated with diamonds and gold lining. The gown parted into two sections branching out and back from mid-thigh, to show the legs and shoes of the girl wearing it. The sides were full of ruffles, glittering under the glare of the bright store light. The gown had a foot long train draping behind it. Tiffany could see a tag with the words "Fendi" embellished on top.

The second dress was a light blush-grey shade with a diamond and pearl embellished round corset. It was skinny and tightfitting at the top while branching out from the waist out like a flower to the floor in thick, elegant waves. The branching out fabric reached back until it was dragged onto the floor behind by almost two feet. It was covered with light silvery floral patterns. The back was showing all the way down to a few inches underneath your shoulder blades. Tiffany recognized it as a Christian Dior dress immediately.

"I absolutely love the Christian Dior gown; can I try it on?" asked Tiffany staring at the dress longingly.

"Of course you can, do you need help putting it on?" asked Logan kindly.

Tiffany walked over to the gown and stroked the silky fabric, "No, thank you though."

Logan smiled in reply and exited the dressing room, closing the door behind her.

Tiffany sighed. She took off her shirt and shorts and threw them onto a white leather fainting couch. Looking at the dress, she took off her bra too as an afterthought and took the dress off its hanger. It was surprisingly light and she unzipped it then stepped into the center, pulling it up carefully.

Tiffany let the velvety fabric run over her body as the dragged it up, securing it in place by zipping it back up. She stepped closer to one of the mirrors and admired the dress, the tightfitting corset hugged all of her curves and extended behind her like a fluffy cloud.

Opening the door, Tiffany stepped out of the dressing room to and peeked outside, looking for Logan. Logan was nowhere in sight so she stepped out tentatively, searching.

Unluckily, Klystron was standing right there and saw her straight away. He strode over and looked at her with intensity, inspecting the dress and her. At long last, he finally spoke,

"Gorgeous, do you like it?"

"Yes," breathed Tiffany, twirling around in a pirouette.

"Logan," called out Klystron.

She hurried over and saw the breathtaking view of Tiffany, "Oh wow… um… do you still want to try the other one… this one is just so perfect on you… stunning."

Tiffany shook her head, "it's fine, this one will do. I'm going to go change back." Without another word, Tiffany turned and reentered the dressing room, shutting the door behind her and leaned on it, taking gulps of air.

Then she excitedly stood in front of the mirror once again, spinning to inspect herself from all angles. It was gorgeous, and it made her feel gorgeous. Now she absolutely loved this dress. Laughing quietly to herself, she pulled the dress off carefully and changed back to her normal clothes.

Opening the door, Tiffany took the dress with the hanger and brought it outside. She looked around for Logan, to ask her what to do now. Logan bustled towards her and took the dress from her, then she carefully put it into a protective bag and headed to Klystron, who was at the outside of the store.

Tiffany walked towards them too, but when she saw them heading to the outside of the mall, she stopped and asked Klystron, "Where are we going?"

"Oh, we are putting the dress in the Carrera, you can start looking for a mask and shoes if you want," replied Klystron slowing down.

Tiffany nodded, rolled her eyes, then walked towards her favorite shoe store, 'So Unique'.

Upon entering, she walked straight over to the 'Jimmy Choo' heels section, looking for a pair of pumps to match her gown. None of them were matching enough, so Tiffany waved the sales guy over and asked, "Do you have any diamond or crystal covered heels? In Jimmy Choo?"

"Yes, we do, my name's Twain, right over here please." Twain led Tiffany to the back of the store into a section where the shoes were encased in glass counters. A section of it were dedicated to Jimmy Choo shoes and Tiffany immediately found one she preferred.

"This one please," she pointed to a pair of crystal embellished pumps.

Twain smiled and unlocked the case from the back, then brought one shoe out. Tiffany stared at it, "It's wonderful!"

"What shoe size do you wear?" asked Twain putting the shoe back into its case and locking it back up.

Tiffany thought about it, then replied, "A five, I think."

"Perfect, I'll go back and get your size."

Twain went into the back storeroom while Tiffany looked around at the other shoes, she suddenly heard someone call her and she turned around, looking for the sound. She saw Jackie and Kaitlin waving at her from the outside of the store. They started walking towards her and Tiffany hurried over to greet them.

"Hey!" exclaimed Kaitlin.

"Hi," replied Tiffany.

Jackie looked at her closely, "I thought you were busy…"

Kaitlin said at the exact same moment, "what are you looking for?"

"A pair of heels for the Masquerade, I found the perfect pair. The guy, Twain, is getting my size for me," answered Tiffany, dodging Jackie's question.

"Nice," said Kaitlin.

Jackie was still staring at Tiffany closely, so Tiffany hurriedly said, "What are you guys doing here?"

"Oh, we're looking for masks," said Jackie looking around the store.

"Yeah, we're looking for the bestest masks," whispered Kaitlin excitedly.

Jackie rolled her eyes exasperatedly, "Kaitlin, 'bestest' is not a word!"

Tiffany was about to laugh when suddenly someone called her, "Tiffany!" She looked around wildly and spotted Klystron striding towards her, looking annoyed.

Jackie and Kaitlin also looked towards Klystron, Jackie narrowing her eyes in suspicion. "Who are you?" she asked pointedly.

"My name, my dear, is Kyle, I am Tiffany's friend and here to assist her in her every single need," Klystron bowed slightly and winked.

Tiffany rolled her eyes and said simply, "he's in the prophecy."

Kaitlin gasped while Jackie shook her head as realization dawned upon her. She managed to sputter out, "So he supposedly is your 'prince'? But… but… he is so ugly!"

"But I thought you said that he was cute," muttered a laughing Tiffany.

Klystron however stared at them, disappointment etched on his face. "I'm not ugly, I'm handsomer than your prince, probably."

Tiffany laughed harder while Jackie and Kaitlin joined in, "My prince hasn't shown up yet, Kyle. And hopefully he is way better than you."

Klystron shook his head, "did you pick out your shoes?"

"Yea, I told Twain to bring me a size 5, he should be here"

Right on cue, Twain reappeared from the back in the storeroom and brought out the pair of shoes in a box. He handed them to Tiffany with a smile and Tiffany reached for them excitedly.

"These are so cute, you have to see," gushed Tiffany. She sat in the nearest chair, then threw open the lid of the box and pulled out the two glittering pumps. Her friends 'oohed' and 'ahhed' as she slipped her feet into them, clasping it, then carefully standing back up.

"See."

"They are gorgeous," sighed Jackie longingly.

Klystron stared into Tiffany's eyes and held her gaze, "They're beautiful on you."

Tiffany rolled her eyes and threw her original sneakers into the box. "I'm wearing these, now I'm going to go pay for them."

"Allow me," stepped in Klystron. Jackie raised her eyebrows.

"Fine," muttered Tiffany annoyed, and sat back down.

Klystron grinned and went to pay for the brilliant heels. Jackie walked over to where Tiffany was sitting and nudged her with her elbow, "He seems to like you very much."

Tiffany rolled her eyes, she seemed to be doing that a lot now, "Yeah, I guess, it's kind of annoying though."

"I wonder what my prince will be like," sighed Kaitlin, wistfully.

Jackie nodded just as Klystron reappeared, "Now we have to buy the masks."

"Come with us," said Kaitlyn, beckoning to Tiffany.

"If you insist," grinned Tiffany, while mouthing a silent, "thank you".

Klystron strode up to Tiffany and bowed, "Is this where we part, my dear princess?"

Tiffany patted him on the back, "Thank for the shoes!"

Klystron nodded with a smirk, then turned abruptly and waved his hand once in goodbye.

"He's so arrogant, I can't stand him," muttered Tiffany.

"Ha-ha, that's cute," laughed Kaitlin.

Jackie pushed them both out of the store, "Let's gooo!"
