Chapter 33 - 3.3 Anew

"Have you calmed down now?"

Bluenote had an unreadable look on his face, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. Kali guessed it was most likely shock and despair.

"I get it, all of us have suffered a loss that affected us greatly. We're wizards after all, there's no growth without failures." Kali said.

Finally, Bluenote had a rested gaze. He let out a sigh and stared into the sky. He couldn't move an inch of his body, all of his mana had been depleted.

"It's my loss." Bluenote said. "Haha! I can't believe it! I would've never thought I would be defeated by an unknown wizard!"

Kali gazed at Bluenote in disbelief, he was depressed, and now he's laughing. If she wasn't in her disguise, she wouldn't be an "unknown" wizard. Bluenote would freak out if he found out.

"So, do you give up?"

"Yes, I surrender. I'm powerless, take me to the kingdom." Bluenote said.

Kali paused to contemplate. Was there really a point in giving a powerful wizard to the kingdom? After all, the king is only going to use him as military power.

"Hmm, I changed my mind."

"Huh?"

"Instead of giving you into the kingdom, you're going to the Magic Council and I'll let them do whatever they want with you." Kali said.

"Eh? Why?"

"The kingdom doesn't deserve a powerful wizard and if it's the Magic Council, they probably have something in mind."

In reality, Kali just didn't want to deal with Bluenote. It was too troublesome. Since the Magic Council would have messengers over at Magnolia to watch over Fairy Tail, she was confident she would find one.

"Well then, let's go." Kali said as she snapped her finger.

"Oi! Wait!"

Kali created a long slide of ice, she slid down there at a high speed causing Bluenote to scream in fear. Though Kali was grinning all the way through, the sensation from the wind was pleasant.

When Kali was finally on the ground, Bluenote was clutching his heart, and breathing heavily.

"You…never come close to me again. Stay away from me as much as possible." Bluenote said.

Kali chuckled and looked around the city. It was the same as before, the joyful atmosphere, the happiness of the people radiated throughout the sidewalks. But she felt like something had changed. Though Kali shrugged it off and started looking for a messenger.

Before Kali started looking for the messenger, she made sure to put a cloak over Bluenote so no one would know of his face. She was sure someone in the city knew of him, information was international after all.

If she recalled correctly, the messengers of the Magic Council usually hung around the clock tower since it was a good place to monitor the city. They could also see the guild directly from there too.

"Well then, let's go."

As usual, Magnolia was filled with activity. It wasn't surprising since Magnolia had been a merchant city and prosperous with magic since the ancients, it had the bestselling items too.

Although they caught the eyes of some of the citizens, they never walked up to them nor questioned them. They simply went back to what they were doing. But that's how the citizens were, if it wasn't their business, there wasn't any point in involving themselves.

"Looks like we're here."

"Where?"

"The center of Magnolia, it's also where I'll be dropping you off. A messenger should be here soon."

"Huh? Why aren't you taking me to the Magic Council directly?"

"It's too far and I don't have time to deal with you. Maybe I don't want to deal with you at all." Kali said as her eyes scanned the area.

"After beating me, the almighty Bluenote, you're simply going to drop me off and have someone take me there?"

"Don't praise yourself. Moreover, you're not almighty, you were defeated by me, an unknown wizard."

Finally, Kali spotted the green creature. It was the same person that tried to stop the fight between Erza and Natsu.

"Looks like we found the person, let's go!"

"Eh?!"

Kali waved at the green creature and said, "Oi! I have to give you something!"

"My apologies, but I still have to finish my work from the Magic Council. Maybe another time."

Before the person could walk away, Kali said something to make them stop.

"I have the S-Rank wizard Bluenote with me. He's currently in that cloak."

"I see, then I will pause the work I am doing for now. The S-Rank criminal seems to be more important than my work. Thank you, good citizen."

With that said, the green creature took Bluenote away. Kali found the situation pretty easy, but people who worked for the Magic Council were difficult to understand.

Kali turned around and started walking. She decided to take a quick glance at Fairy Tail. She wasn't going to stay there for long, she just wanted to check on them since she heard they were attacked by the Phantom Guild.

"What the…"

When Kali arrived at the end of the street where she could see the building, she was in disbelief. The old Fairy Tail building that was run down turned into something luxurious.

"Ah, that phantom guild must've done a good job destroying the guild." Kali said with a chuckle. "They had to build something entirely different."

Although it may seem insensitive that she was laughing, that was how things were. The members of FairyTail were full of positivity, they wouldn't let anything bring them down. If their guild was destroyed, then just fix it.

"Truly, the new building looks amazing." Kali said with admiration.

Suddenly, the door opened revealing people that Kali didn't recognize. One of them was a person with long spiky black hair with an iron arm and the other had blue hair with a blue beanie.

Kali quickly hid before they could spot her, she had been staring for too long.

"It seems they've gotten new members too."

"Gajeel, did you notice someone at the end of that street?"

"Tsk, you've been thinking of Gray too much. Shut it will ya?!"

"Are you insulting Gray-sama?!"
