"Huh? There's a S-Class Job missing?" Kali asked, surprised. "Oh, it was probably Natsu wasn't it?"
"Kali, let's not jump into conclusions shall we?" Mira asked.
Kali took a bite of her apple. "I'm not though, I saw Happy take the sheet with him?"
After hearing this, the guild erupted.
"That means Natsu, Lucy, and Happy are on a S-Class mission together?!"
"Kali! Why didn't you stop them?!"
Kali simply smiled. "Because it was going to be entertaining, I want to see how things go."
"This is a serious breach of rules." Laxus said. "Gramps! You're kicking them out the moment they're back, I assume?"
Surprisingly, there was no hostility between Kali and Laxus. That was because Laxus didn't want to hurt his pride any further by messing with Kali. Kali didn't care, she didn't want to deal with someone as troublesome as Laxus anyway.
"Though, judging their skill. I doubt that they'll make it out alive." Laxus said.
"Laxus." Mira called. "Did you know about this too?"
"Of course I did. How could I not have noticed when I saw it happen?" Laxus replied with a chuckle.
"Laxus! Why didn't you try to stop it if you knew about it then?" Mira questioned.
"Oi, oi, you shouldn't be asking me that." Laxus said as he pointed at Kali who was still chewing on the apple. "You should ask her."
Everyone's attention was now on Kali.
"Why didn't you stop them, Kali? You know how dangerous a S-Class quest is." Macao said.
"What? It's not like they're going to die, so why not see what happens? It's going to be interesting anyway." Kali said as she finished her apple.
The guild suddenly turned silent, not a single thing could be heard except the sound of footsteps coming towards Kali's direction.
Kali glanced in the direction of the footsteps to see Mira with an angry look on her face. Mira's expression held different emotions like disgust, anger, rage, confusion, and disappointment.
And at this moment, Kali knew, she fu-
"Mira, I didn't mean it like that-"
"Shut up. We're going to talk."
Kali gave up resisting against Mira, there was no use anyway. Before she entered the door behind the bar, she silently made a prayer that she wouldn't die. She still had goals to achieve in this world.
Mira hovered over Kali with the same angry look.
"Not everything is only for entertainment. You were just fine earlier, what's wrong now?" Mira asked.
Kali turned away, unable to meet Mira's eyes. "Sorry, it's just that…I haven't been able to think right sometimes."
Mira's expression changed into a caring one.
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"N…nothing, nevermind. I'm okay now." Kali replied with a smile.
"But-"
Kali smiled. "Trust me, everything's fine. After I help Natsu and them, I'll figure it out."
"But when is that?"
"Who knows? That'll depend on how long it'll take to finish the mission."
"Do you even know what the mission is?"
"Nope."

"Those brats went to the cursed island of Galuna?!" Makarov explained, he was about to have a heart attack with all the events that's been happening. "Laxus! Bring them back!"
"Don't be silly, I have my own work to do." Laxus replied. "Members of this guild are supposed to be able to take care of this themselves. Right?"
Makarov had an angry expression on his face. "Out of everyone here, who can bring Natsu back by force besides you!"
"It seems my existence is being forgotten." Kali said with a sigh.
"Ah!" Makarov came to realization. "Sorry, it's just that we're not used to you being here yet."
"It's fine, I understand." Kali replied. "Anyway, I'm going to bring Natsu and the others back, who's coming?"
"I am." Gray said as he stood up. "Gramps, I can't let that comment of yours slide."
Kali smiled. "Then let's go Gray, I don't think they're even on the ship yet. We can still make it."
"Alright, let's go!"

"Yo! Natsu! Lucy! Happy!" Kali called out as she walked towards them.
"Hey Kali!" Lucy casually said before she felt that something was amiss. "Huh? Kali? Why are you here?"
"Of course to come along with you guys, I've been dying to go on a mission." Kali replied. "Also, I brought Gray with me."
"Eh?" Natsu complained. "Why did you bring that popsicle here?"
"Shut up flames for brains!" Gray spat back. "Kali, aren't we supposed to bring them back? Why did you say we're going along with them?"
Kali stared at Gray blankly. "We're going to complete the quest. I'm here anyway, what's there that could go wrong?"
Before Gray could reply, a man spoke up.
"Are you guys wizards?" a man with a cloak that covered his body asked.
"Was it obvious?" Kali asked.
"No." the man shook his head. "It was simply a guess, but since you guys are wizards. I'll take you to the cursed island."
"Really? Thank you!" Lucy exclaimed.
After a few hours on the boat, it was now night time. The stars above them illuminated a beautiful light.
"My name is Bobo, I used to live on Galuna island." Bobo said. "I fled from that cursed island. If you go to that island, disaster will befall upon you, just like it did to everyone who went there. Can you really lift this curse?"
"What curse?"
"The demon's curse." Bobo said as he revealed his arm that it no longer took the form of a human arm. It looked like it belonged to a monster.
"Mister! Your arm…"
"Don't tell me…"
Kali didn't bother to take a look, there was no need for such things to be implanted in her memory. Though, they were going to be in her memory anyway.
"Is that it?" Kali asked, pointing to the island with a glow at the top. However, she didn't get an answer.
"Oi! The mister disappeared!" Gray explained.
"And there's a giant wave behind us!" Lucy added.
Before they were engulfed by the giant wave, Kali casted a sleeping spell on them, and activated one of her spells.
"Arrow of Time, Lightspeed."
And just like that, the boat sped towards the island at lightspeed. Within a second, they were already on the island but Kali had to wait since the others were knocked out.

"Oh? We're here!" Natsu exclaimed the moment he woke up. The others woke up as well.
"Good morning everyone." Kali said.
"Good morning." Lucy replied. "And didn't a giant wave appear? Did it wash us ashore?"
"Looks like we lucked out." Gray said.
Successfully, Kali was able to hide her abilities.
"What was with that man anyway?" Lucy asked. "He said something about a demon's curse."
"Who cares about that! Let's go exploring!" Natsu shouted.
"Aye!"
Kali sighed and mumbled to herself. "Ignorance is a gift, yet a curse."

"Apparently, there's a village on this island." Lucy said as she looked over the map. "It seems the chief is the one who posted the job."
"The chief and the villagers are probably just like the man before." Kali said. "They're cursed."
"Eh? How would you know that though?"
"It's just a guess, now let's go. I want to go back as fast as possible."
