Azren felt like he was flying when he went up to the penthouse using an elevator. The penthouse was on the 76th floor, and the height was almost 300 meters above sea level. It was comparable with his usual flying height with his wings.
He was a bit nervous. His appearance was quite dull in comparison to the glorious environment, and he wasn't sure if the idol would choose him over the other candidates.
The young demon finally reached the penthouse, and from the door only, he could guess that the residence would be very luxurious.
He hesitantly walked over toward the big door and stopped in front of the polished door. He sighed as he gazed at the door. He had never expected that he would need to apply for a job. Since he was born 200 years ago, he immediately started his job as a demon, and applying for a job in the human world was nerve-wracking.
With a heavy heart, the blonde demon raised his hand to press the doorbell. He was so nervous. Orgonel and Lucifer didn't even give him further instruction about the job interview. He didn't even bring anything with him other than his phone and wallet.
One minute passed, and someone opened the double door for him. His emerald eyes made contact with a pair of hazel eyes right away.
"Hello, you must be Azren Theophane, right?"
A soft voice greeted his ears, and the clumsy demon gulped nervously. Standing before him was a sexy lady with a body that resembled a guitar. Her height was approximately 170 cm, and her body was 'puffy' in the right spots such as her chest, her hips, and her butt.
There were lots of sexy demon girls in the demon world, but Azren was still speechless when he saw the sexy human.
"Hey, boy. Are you okay?"
The sexy girl waved her smooth hand in front of Azren, and he blinked his eyes in embarrassment. Even her hand smelled so good.
"Uh, I'm sorry, Miss."
The lady furrowed her curvy eyebrows, seeming to be confused by Azren's stiff attitude.
"My name is Felice Urelia, but you can call me Felice. You came for the interview, right? I'm Michy's manager, and he is currently waiting for you inside."
Even the lady's name sounded beautiful, but thankfully, Azren could hold back his thought and didn't voice it out loud. His soon-to-be boss, Michy, was waiting for him, so he had to remain sane.
Azren nodded his head, and the curvy lady invited him inside the penthouse.
The penthouse was beyond elegant. The wall and the furniture were dominated by silver and white colors, and instead of being surrounded by the cemented wall only, the penthouse was shield by the glass wall too. The glass wall allowed people to have an amazing city view.
Everything was so shiny and a little blinding the eyes, and Azren, who wasn't used to the bright environment, squinted his eyes a little once he was inside the large room.
"What's wrong with your eyes?"
He could hear an unfamiliar voice greeted his ears, and he widened his eyes again. He turned his head a little, and he found a young boy in silver hair sitting comfortably on the couch. He was sitting cross-legged with his chin rested on his palm, looking bored as hell.
Azren recognized the babyface, the silver hair, and the blue eyes. He was the idol, MICHY.
The young idol glanced at the blonde, and his gaze looked cold and distant. Azren could only gulp uncomfortably.
But, he just realized something at that moment. When he glanced around once again, he found no one in the big room aside from him, Michy, and Felice. What about the other people who applied for the assistant's position? They had not come yet?
"You can sit down, Azren."
The next voice he heard was warm and soft, no longer the cold and distant one. When he turned to the side, he found Felice smiling at him softly.
Michy and Felice were like two opposite poles; the former was cold and arrogant, while the latter was warm and humble.
Azren, despite feeling uncomfortable in between the two people with different characters, chose to nod his head before walking over to the couch and sat down opposite the owner of the house.
"So, your name is Azren Theophane?" The silver-haired boy questioned the guest.
Felice had sat down on another couch as well, but it seemed that she let the idol interview the young man himself.
"Yes, Sir," the blonde man replied.
"Sir?" Michy asked him again as he raised his tone a little. "I'm not even 18, but you call me Sir?"
Azren swallowed hard. When he saw the idol's image on a bus earlier, the idol looked so bright and cheerful, but his true self was the complete opposite. The idol was cold, rude, and arrogant. He shouldn't have been surprised because Lucifer had told him about the boy, but he was still overwhelmed in the end.
"I'm sorry," he apologized to the idol timidly.
"You can call him Michy."
He then could hear Felice whispered to him at the side.
"You are the only candidate today, so I have a high hope toward you," the idol spoke again, and Azren turned his head to the idol again.
It was finally confirmed that he was the only candidate to be the idol's assistant. 'Is it My Lord's plan too? He deliberately made me as the only candidate?' He couldn't help but wonder in his heart.
He remained silent because he didn't know what to say, and he was still silent as his eyes followed Michy's every movement. The idol finally brought his feet down from the couch and stepped on the marble floor instead.
He could see how the idol's skinny hand grabbed a piece of paper on the coffee table and stared down at the paper seriously. Azren guessed that the paper was his application letter sent by Lucifer to the idol.
"You are older than me, so you can call me by my name."
This time, Michy suddenly lowered his tone, and his tone sounded less piercing in his ears.
"Have you ever worked as an assistant before?"
"I haven't worked as an assistant before, but I'm willing to learn to be your assistant—"
"You don't have any experience but dare to apply to be my assistant?"
