"You can't detect my presence?"
The voice sounded so firm and hard as if every single word consisted of tons of massive rocks that were ready to bury him alive.
Azren looked down at the shorter man, and even though he should be proud of his height, he still felt so low in front of the other man.
"My power has been sealed, Sir. I can see demons, but I can't detect their presence."
The one who was standing in front of him was Orgonel. Perhaps it was stupid to say, but Azren was scared of Orgonel more than Lucifer. Lucifer was the king, but Orgonel was his mentor and the one who had always punished him every time he made mistakes.
Orgonel was the one who knew him inside out, and he felt like he was naked in front of the long-haired demon. He felt like the demon could see through his soul.
The appearance of the high-rank demon in the penthouse indeed shocked him, but he knew that demons had the power to go anywhere they wanted. And they didn't even have to knock on the door if they wanted to enter a house. If demons were robbers that needed money, they surely had become rich with that ability.
"How is your first day in the human world? You are here now, so your target has accepted you as his assistant, right?"
Azren knew that Orgonel was only asking that question for pleasantries, but it was mandatory for him to answer the question.
"Yes, Sir. The human has accepted me as his assistant, and I will start working for him tomorrow."
The older demon nodded his head. "Our king was sure that you would get the job. He did everything he could do for you, so you better do your job properly."
"I understand, Sir," the blonde replied. "But, can I ask you something, Sir?"
Azren had always been a polite and timid demon. He looked like a demon who didn't have pride and dignity. When other demons were ruthless and prideful, Azren was the total opposite.
Orgonel had scolded the blonde demon countless times, but the young demon was still the same.
"Just ask if you want to ask! Do you think I'm happy to hear your pleasantries?"
Azren didn't even dare to look at Orgonel in the eye after hearing the scolding.
"I have met my target today, and I think he is already a bad human with his bad personality. Why did our king choose him as my target, Sir? That human is even more ruthless than me."
"You dared to question our king's decision?"
Azren's body winced upon hearing his mentor asked him a question with a harsh note. Orgonel, just like other demons in Hell, had a very bad temper and would easily get provoked by others. Azren knew the character, but he still dared to irritate the high-rank demon.
"I apologize, Sir," the blonde stated weakly while bowing his head. "I didn't mean to question our king's decision. I just need enlightenment. What should I do to a human who is already so heartless and rude like Michy? Our king ordered me to lead him to Hell, but I don't understand what he meant."
In front of Lucifer, he could only nod and nod, but now it could be seen that his nods meant nothing. He merely nodded but understood nothing.
The long-haired demon sighed upon hearing Azren's question. "You know that every human has their evil meter, right? You can't see Michy's evil meter now because our king has sealed your demonic power, but I will tell you that Michy's evil meter is still low."
Azren stared at the older demon in disbelief. With that level of rudeness and arrogancy, Michy Hagnon's evil meter was still low?
"I know that it's hard to believe, but that's the reality," Orgonel continued after he saw a trace of disbelief in Azren's face. "That's why you have to work hard to raise Michy's evil meter. When his evil meter hit the maximum, that's when you finally can complete your mission. Lucifer will pardon you and welcome you back to the Hell."
Azren didn't say anything and was still frowning at the older demon. He thought that his mission would be easy, but his calculation was wrong.
"What should I do to raise Michy's evil meter, Sir?"
Azren innocently asked the question, and Orgonel scowled at him angrily.
"You are the one who is given the mission, but you dared to ask me that question?"
Azren once again aggravated the older demon, and he regretted his decision to ask that dumb question.
"Our king sent you to the human world not only to punish you but also to let you learn how to be a proper demon. If you keep depending on me, then you won't be able to prove your ability in front of our king."
Azren remained quiet as he reflected. He did remember how Lucifer told him that he sent him to the human world to let him learn. Perhaps Orgonel was right. Perhaps it was his chance to learn how to be a proper demon. He shouldn't disappoint the Demon King.
"I have another question, Sir," Azren spoke again, and Orgonel raised his chin a little to let him continued. "When you said that our king would help me to disguise myself as a human, did it mean that not only my appearance that would change, but the organ inside my body would change as well?"
Orgonel stared at him deeply before nodding his head. "That's the only way to disguise your demonic aura from the angels. Your body is like a human's body now."
Azren wanted to scold the older demon because the latter didn't tell him about such an important matter before, but how could he scold someone more powerful than him?
The blonde could only nod his head without any intentions to prolong the matter. He thought that everything was settled now, but then he remembered something.
"I still have another question, Sir."
"You dared to call me Sir again?"
Azren's body froze once again when he heard another voice.
