"Why did you send Azren to the human world, My Lord?"
Orgonel, one of Lucifer's trusted subordinates, questioned his lord's decision. He didn't mean to doubt the king's decision regarding the young demon named Azren, but he didn't expect that the king would take that kind of decision for the youngster.
Lucifer just ended the judgment in the main hall, and all demons had left the hall, leaving him only with his subordinate.
"Why did you ask me that? Do you want me to send him to the Black Hole instead?" Lucifer, who was sitting on his throne, asked his subordinate arrogantly.
Lucifer had a scary expression on his face. Even when he was doing nothing, his intimidating aura remained frightening. Even if he was quite handsome with his short black hair and a pair of sharp eyes, no one would dare to make trouble with the King of Hell.
Orgonel bowed his head timidly upon hearing the king's question. "I won't dare to suggest that idea to you, My Lord. Please forgive your useless servant."
Orgonel was Lucifer's trusted subordinate for some reason. He was undoubtfully loyal, smart, and could read the situation quickly. The first point was the most important point for Lucifer. He needed a loyal subordinate who wouldn't betray him in any situation. He had betrayed God a long long time ago, and he didn't want to get the karma. As if he believed in karma!
"I will send Azren to the human world for a reason. I can't tell you the reason now, but I'm sure Azren will bring back something good from the human world. That useless kid finally will be useful for us soon, so we better wait for the right moment."
Orgonel couldn't fully grasp what Lucifer had just said. He could only understand half of the statement, but he didn't dare to question the Lord because the said Lord had told him that he couldn't elaborate the matter to him now. He probably just needed to wait until the king was willing to share his thoughts with him.
Lucifer had always trusted him, and the king always shared his secret with him. When other demons knew nothing about the King of Hell, he knew most of the king's secret. He was truly Lucifer's trusted subordinate.
"I'm just worried about your last warning for Azren just now, My Lord."
The Lucifer rested his chin on his palm as he frowned at his subordinate. "My last warning for Azren just now?" He parroted.
"Yes, My Lord," the subordinate answered. "You warned him not to fall in love with a human, and I think I can understand the reason behind your warning, My Lord."
Lucifer's face suddenly turned gloomy. He no longer looked at the subordinate as he shifted his gaze toward the black marble floor. "I can't blame the event that happened in the past," he muttered thoughtfully. "That's a fate, and that fate brought Azren to us. That stingy God didn't even want to give Azren the second chance, and it was definitely his loss."
Orgonel looked up at the Lord and stared at him deeply. He was an old demon as well. Even though demons didn't age and their appearance remained the same after so many years, demons' ages could be differentiated by looking at their aura. Older demons would have a stronger and thicker aura, while younger demons had a weaker and thinner aura.
Orgonel was quite strong, maybe the second strongest in Hell after Lucifer. His appearance that was also tall and sturdy gave off a strong aura as well. His long black hair looked like a curtain that covered half of his face, and his appearance even looked scarier than Lucifer's. Even so, his aura was still weaker than the Lord.
"Are you sure that Azren will be able to complete his mission, My Lord?"
Lucifer finally turned his gaze toward Orgonel again upon hearing the question. His lips then formed a small smirk before he answered, "It's a challenge for him, and he better proves himself that he deserves to be a demon. I'm sure he will try so hard to complete the mission because he's afraid of the Black Hole."
Orgonel nodded his head in understanding. Lucifer was quite mysterious this time. Instead of answering with a firm "yes" or "no," the Lord decided to play with words.
Even though Lucifer looked like he was playing now, Orgonel knew that the king was very serious about what he was doing now. The Lord was not playing with such an important matter.
"Azren's mission is very important for our future. If he can complete the mission, we can annihilate all angels in Heaven, and we can challenge God as well. The mighty Lucifer will be the next God!"
Orgonel remained quiet and let the King of Hell voiced out his thoughts.
"I will assign you to monitor Azren in the human world, Orgonel. You have to make sure that he will do his mission properly, and you also have to relay my message to him."
Orgonel once again nodded his head obediently. "I understand, My Lord. I have prepared a human identity for Azren as you instructed me, and Azren will be ready to do his mission tomorrow. I will monitor Azren from afar starting tomorrow."
Lucifer nodded in satisfaction, but then his gaze turned grim again as he said, "You also have to make sure that Azren won't fall in love with the human. That will ruin our plan."
Orgonel nodded in understanding again, then he excused himself from the main hall, leaving Lucifer alone on his throne.
Lucifer's mind wandered after Orgonel left him alone. Besides him and Orgonel, no one knew the reason behind his serious warning for the young demon. He had given the warning directly to Azren, but as if he couldn't believe in the young demon, he told Orgonel to keep an eye on the youngster as well.
No one in Hell knew about Azren's real identity, including the young demon himself. Yes, it was only Lucifer and Orgonel who knew who the real Azren was.
