As Kiara started to collect her belongings and get up, Chelsi grabbed her wrist and pulled her back onto the seat. "No, No, No! You are not going anywhere!" She gave Kiara a drunk smile before closing up her head to Kiara's ear. "If you leave now my brother will be very disappointed." She chuckled in her ear causing it to tickle. Kiara rubbed her ear and pushed Chelsi's face away before replying.
"How many times have I told you to stop shipping me with your brother? I am not going to be your Sister-in-law in this lifetime at least." She huffed out.
Chelsi shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, that can mean only one thing! YOu are going to be my wife then!" She shouted in a loud voice before passing out on the table.
Kiarapittied Chelsi's situation, In a distance there was a commotion to which she returned her head to, And there she saw a tall figure in a vine red suit stepping out of his Mercedes Maybach, A charming man with Swept-back coffee hair, A pair of emerald green eyes resembling that of Chelsi. He looked around the unhygienic place before spotting Kiara who was supposedly drooling over him for no apparent reason. He then started walking in their direction, Kiara almost jumped in her chair when she saw Robin walk in on them. She knew that he would be here any moment as she had texted him Chelsi's location from Chelsi's phone but this was too quick for her to process. Kiara looked away and patted Chelsi on her arm to wake her up. "Hey! Wake up!" She had urgency in her tone but Chelsi lay still like a log and didn't budge even slightly, leaving Kiara in a very awkward situation. Although Chelsi and Kiara had been friends for a long time she hadn't been alone with any of her family members as it made her feel odd. And this situation where Chelsi was drunk put her in the exact same situation that she always wanted to avoid.
"What a mess." After Kiara sensed RObin's presence just beside her chair it followed a few heavy words. Kiara lifted her hand and patted Chelsi while completely avoiding any kind of conversation with Robin as she had no idea what she would say. Chelsi, who finally seemed to have heard Kiara's voice, lifted her head and looked at RObin.
"Brother!!!!" sHe cried out once again causing the people around to look at her with a scornful gaze. "Where have you been!! DO you know how heartbroken I was because of that Richard BAstard!" She continued without batting an eye at the people around her.
"You are drunk! We need to go back home." His tone was quite reserved and he held her hand and stood her up. Kiara picked up Chelsi's bag and hung it in her neck. Robin stole a glance from Kiara and quickly averted his gaze without making her realize it. When RObin had lifted Chelsi in his arms he looked at Kiara who seemed to be heading her way.
"Come on. I will drop you off." He sounded like a gentleman. Kiara smiled at him before shaking his offer off.
"There is no need for that. My home isn't far away from here, I can manage." And without another word, he stepped away in front of the awkward situation.
Robin didn't insist and he walked back to his car and seated Chelsi in the seat before driving away. Kiara then took a cab back home. It had been a busy day and she felt too tired. Her only wish was to reach home as soon as possible. The cab was headed into the most expensive part of the city where there were mansions and living complexes. Kiara lived in one of those elaborately expensive buildings. Kiara got out of the cab and stood on the other side of the road from the building. She rubbed her eyes and yawned before stepping onto the road to cross it. But before she could do that a car drew past her at such a speed that she couldn't help but retreat her footsteps. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest because she had witnessed a near-death experience. Kiara turned her head towards the car that had stopped abruptly a few yards away from her, Her eyes wide open and almost popping out of the sockets. She held her heart and breathed out heavily. The feeling of anger that she had been hiding in since the morning burst out and she shouted at the driver of the car while proceeding to walk towards it with stomping feet.
"Don't you dare move you bastard! You almost killed me! I will sue you and your God damn family for raising a skunk-like you." She had turned red like a tomato.
But just as she was a few feet away her steps froze and she didn't dare to move. She had witnessed something truly scary that made her almost break into a scream. The doors of the car opened and from within three men emerged. They were well suited but their white shirts were tainted with a dark color. Because of the dark, she couldn't see the exact color but it was obvious what it was. Kiara shrunk her body towards the bush and crouched, She felt her heart leap violently and her hands clasped before her mouth trembling.
"Should I call the cops?" She asked herself and looked around, to see if anyone else was around but the place where she lived wasn't very crowded so she seemed to be the only one who was at the crime scene. Kiara was struck but she thought it wasn't time to lose sense so she quickly pulled out her phone and recorded the scene. The men opened the trunk of the car and pulled out a body and men threw the body onto the road mercilessly before one of them grabbed it by the legs and dragged it through the pavement. When they were done with disposing of the body by the storefront they simply sat back in the car and drove away like a gusting wind. Kiara had been crouching all this while and felt pins and needles in her legs. She approached the body cautiously while flashing light over it with her mobile flashlight.
The body seemed to be that of a guy in a well-dressed suit, But he had been beaten badly to the point where he had collapsed. Kiara checked his pulse and found that he was still alive. Without wasting another second she called the ambulance and took the guy to the hospital.
