That morning, Tasia felt like she was a little bit different person than any other morning.
She wore her school uniform with the image that she was a detective with a long coat, hat, and sunglasses. She even bought a notebook with an imitation brown leather cover and a jet black pen that could be attached to a cheap bookmark. That girl was ridiculous.
Arriving at school, she was determined to spy on Hadyan all day until things became clearer and the case was solved. She was going to catch the guy red-handed. She would catch red-handed him and prove that the guy was no ordinary high schoolboy. He must have something to do with all the strange happening that Tasia had been going through lately. She hoped that she really was still in a sane condition, aka not crazy. Because in her mind, Tasia was very sure that she wasn't crazy.
Tasia came early in the morning, this was something that was not her habit. But she intended to write opening notes and points of inquiry in her beloved expensive notebook because she forgot to do it last night. After all, she overslept.
"Oh? Miss Tasia has come so early in the morning? What's this?" Mr Rahmat greeted her by stopping his activities of sweeping the schoolyard.
"Morning, Mr Rahmat. There's actually nothing. I just woke up too early today." She replied with a little bit of lie to Mr Rahmat, who then nodded.
Tasia stepped lightly across the basketball court to reach her class while singing around. It was true what his mother said, waking up earlier will make us feel more cheerful. The school was still very quiet and the smell of freshly cut grass filled her senses of smell. But the cheerful steps were stopped immediately when she found Hadyan was sitting alone in the classroom. Apparently, someone came earlier than her.
'What did I dream last night to meet him this early in the morning?' She thought, unhappy.
In an instant, all the plans she had devised during the way to school had been failed. Tasia pouted her lips. Her steps were changing, from light steps to the old rubber like steps. She didn't intend to write the situation down in her expensive book because the target was already in front of her eyes, and she didn't want her plan to be exposed before halfway through.
"Tasia? You have come already? That's quite early." Hadyan greeted her as he got up from his chair cheerfully.
"Ah? Yes. I woke up too early this morning." She replied, as awkwardly as she took her seat. It felt like her energy had already drained even though she hadn't done anything.
But Tasia did not want to be discouraged. This was a good opportunity. Tasia had to approach Hadyan while she wasn't surrounded by their friends who were acting like hungry ducks. Very noisy and annoying.
Hadyan immediately stepped on his feet and approached Tasia's seat. Even before Tasia herself approached him, the guy was like a firework that had been ignited, it immediately rocketed up without delay.
"You're a little pale. Are you all right?" He gave a cold bottle of tea to Tasia.
Tasia shook her head, "I'm fine."
Hadyan smiled gently, "At least drink this first. You'll feel better if you drink something sweet. In my eyes, I think your face looks like someone who has a lot of things in mind."
Hadyan opened the lid of the tea bottle which was still sealed and handed it to Tasia who looked at him in annoyance. It was obvious that the guy was the real person who gave her a lot of things in mind.
Finally, Tasia sighed and accepted the bottled tea and drank a few sips. Suddenly, she felt a De Ja Vu. It felt like she had experienced something similar like this somewhere and sometimes. However, she quickly dismissed that thought. She had more important things to do, which was to find topics that could lead her to the questions she wanted to ask Hadyan.
"Oh, By the way.. How was yesterday? You weren't late for your violin class, were you?" Hadyan asked again.
It seemed that Tasia didn't have to try so hard.
Tasia shook her head, "No. Actually, I didn't go to the course place yesterday."
"Why? Were you late? You should have accepted my offer to take you home yesterday. It's quicker to ride a motorbike than a bus." Hadyan said, remembering yesterday's scene when he wanted to take Tasia home, because their house was quite close. But the girl stubbornly refused his offer.
"No... It wasn't because of that. I suddenly didn't feel well and finally decided to take a break." She answered in hasty. She didn't feel comfortable remembering yesterday's event when she rejected Hadyan's offer, which according to herself, at that time she was quite rude to him.
"Are you feeling unwell? No wonder your face is pale now. Why are you still in school today? Have you taken your medicine?" Hadyan asked worriedly as he immediately pulled a chair to sit opposite the girl he was after.
"I'm not..." Tasia froze in shock when Hadyan touched her forehead and cheeks alternately to feel her temperature.
Instantly, Tasia's face became hot and her cheeks flushed red. Her heart was pounding wildly in response to the unauthorized treatment. Tasia immediately backed away from her sitting position to avoid Hadyan's hands and lowered her face so that the guy would not see her current face condition.
'My face must be red right now! Gosh, what are you doing Hadyan?! How dare you!' Tasia yelled in her heart.
"Your hands are cold like ice," Tasia said honestly as well as making it the reason why she did her action.
Hadyan quickly pulled his hand and smiled, "Yes, I have a cold body temperature. But apparently, your body is not hot. That's good."
"Hadyan.. I'm sorry. But I need to tell you something. You can't just touch other people like earlier. Especially to women."
Hadyan frowned, "I saw you playing tickle with Patra that time. Wasn't that called touching?"
"Eum.. Y-Yes. But Patra is my best friend. We have known each other for a long time, since we were little. So we are very close." Tasia explained in a bit offended tone. Who was he, could ask her whoever she could play with?
'This human.. She pissed me off! Hold yourself Hadyan. You are in the human realm now. Hold yourself!' Told Hadyan in her mind to himself.
'You may say that now, Tasia. Just wait until you become my empress.' Hadyan thought furiously.
"Patra, huh...?" He mumbled while trying to calm his anger, which was like the lava that was erupting from an angry mountain. If this was an area of war, perhaps the condition of this school would have been in shambles by now.
Tasia, who was reminded of her mission again, immediately looked for the right questions that she could use to extract a glimmer of information from Hadyan.
"Hadyan?" she called, realizing that the friend in front of her was pensive to himself.
"Yes, Tasia? Sorry I was daydreaming." He answered.
"Do you like snakes?" Tasia asked in a lowered voice, following her mentality.
"Snakes? Of course. They are strong and agile." The answer was fast. Of course, because he was a snake demon. He didn't realize Tasia's attitude was a bit strange. He was too focused on being fascinated by her presence and beauty.
"Wow.. I bet you really love snakes. Do you believe that snake demons existed?"
Hadyan's eyes immediately widened at the quick question.
Could it be, she already knows?... Or... Like Rangin said?! Perhaps Tasia..
