Chapter 27 - A Complete Fool

In He Yang's opinion, it was unreasonable to think that good friends must share everything with each other.

He thought that the person who first proposed this theory must be a very gossipy person.

That person's original purpose was actually to hear other people's gossip.

This was the same principle as bargaining in the market. There were exchanges, and finally, the deal was made.

The dinner was not that sumptuous, but it could be considered a good combination of meat and vegetables, the nutrition was very balanced.

The chef still had some skills, at least He Yang did not find the food in the cafeteria disgusting.

Instead, there was a taste of home.

The taste of home was actually very abstract. In everyone's mind, there was such a thing, but if you really wanted to explain, many people simply could not explain what the taste of home was like.

Fortunately, He Yang was not a poet or a philosopher, so there was no need to delve into this question.

This time, Ye Xing seemed to be particularly anxious. She did not even wait for Thirteen to finish eating before she dragged He Yang away.

"Why are you in such a hurry?"

He Yang was very confused. Could it be that the matter she had to share was so important?

"I have to go back and pack up. Maybe I'll be adopted tomorrow."

Ye Xing looked like she was in a good mood. She was jumping up and down the whole way, even humming a tune He Yang had never heard before.

It was probably taught by a volunteer at the welfare institute, or perhaps Ye Xing had sung a song he knew out of tune.

But... it sounded pretty good.

It was hard to understand how this girl could be so happy all the time.

"I think you've been infected by Luoluo as well," He Yang grumbled.

Luoluo was the girl who kept saying that her parents would come back to pick her up tomorrow.

Especially Ye Xing's words about tomorrow struck He Yang like lightning, so he had a deep impression of her.

Ye Xing was in high spirits, so she did not get angry when she heard that.

"It's different. Luoluo is waiting for her parents to come pick her up, so she has to wait day after day. But I'm different, I'll be adopted tomorrow. Sister Yun told me that my future parents are very, very good people."

He Yang didn't know why, but hearing these words made him feel uncomfortable.

"Calling a strange man and a strange woman parents, don't you feel very resistant in your heart How can a girl be so casual?"

He thought of his own father. After marrying that woman, he had once told him that she would be his mother from now on.

However, when he looked at that fawning face, he could not bring himself to call her that.

Why was Ye Xing looking forward to this so much?

If she was really adopted, wouldn't she feel uncomfortable calling someone else 'father and mother'?

The discomfort in his heart was unavoidably reflected in his tone.

It made his tone sound a little harsh.

Ye Xing seemed to have been frightened by his sudden outburst of emotions. She stared at him in a daze and did not speak for a long time.

He Yang knew very well where his anger came from. Do adults really like children?

If they were really responsible for their children, then why did they not care about their children's feelings after they had given birth to them.

They would get a divorce and not see their children again whenever they wanted.

The most common argument they used was that you were still young and did not understand the affairs between adults.

It felt like the adults had gone through a lot of heartache when they got married and had children.

However, did they really understand children? Did children not have their own thoughts?

If they did not like it and gave it up after they were born, then why did they still want to give birth in the first place?

Sometimes, it only took a second to emotionally breakdown.

Ye Xing looked at He Yang's reddened eyes and was momentarily at a loss.

She did not understand why He Yang would have such a big reaction.

Was it because she was going to be adopted and he himself had just become an orphan?

"I... I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? This is not your fault! They gave birth to you and abandoned you and left you in a welfare institute. What makes you think that people who aren't related to you in any way will become your parents who love and protect you. Take care of you when you're sick, comfort you when you're sad? What makes you think that? You have no idea what it means to call someone mom and dad! You're a complete fool!"
