Chapter 29 - A Huge Mistake

Sister Shuran was no longer in the mood to comfort this little cry baby. There was not much valuable information coming out of her mouth.

If a child really got lost, then her responsibility would be too great.

"Don't cry for now, go back to your room and wait, if Ye Xing returns, inform me immediately. I'll think of a way to find her now, do you understand?"

Xiao Yu could not control her tears anymore, but she nodded obediently.

She sobbed as she ran to her room.

She actually knew that no one in the entire welfare institute liked her because she liked to cry.

But what could she do? She did not want to cry either, but she could not help it.

Only Ye Xing did not dislike her. Every time she cried, Ye Xing would hold her in her arms patiently, telling her stories and comforting her.

If Ye Xing left, she really did not know how to live.

At that moment, Xiao Yu felt like she had been abandoned by the whole world. Her life seemed to have sunk into darkness.

"What? Ye Xing is not in her room? Could she have gone to the other side?"

Sister Shuran immediately called the director, Mother Chen, to report this matter.

After learning that the other children had all returned to their rooms except for Ye Xing, Mother Chen was also a little anxious.

"It's impossible to go there, Ah Yun just sent me a message, she was just there in the afternoon.

Ye Xing usually wouldn't go there at night.

I've asked Ah Yun, and Ah Yun is currently looking for her there. If there's any news, she'll tell me."

Mother Chen suddenly remembered something. "Is He Yang, the newcomer, around?"

After a long time, she finally remembered who He Yang was.

However, her face quickly darkened. Because Ye Xing was there to greet him, she forgot about He Yan's arrival.

This was not the first time such a thing had happened. Ye Xing could always take care of it well, so she did not have to worry about it.

But today...

She hurriedly said, "I'll go check it out immediately."

After she hung up the phone, she remembered that she had sent the new quilt to Ye Xing's room. In other words, He Yang was arranged to stay in that room.

Ye Xing had even asked her to help him get a curtain.

However, there were too many things to do, so she had forgotten about it.

Now, she realized how much trouble Ye Xing had saved her by helping her.

She rushed into the room and realized that the lights in the room did not seem to be on again. Xiao Yu's thin body was curled up in a small corner of her bed, still sobbing.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, she sat up in surprise. "Ye Xing, you're back?"

It was only through the light from the small table lamp at the head of the bed that she saw that it was Shuran, the joy she felt earlier immediately faded away.

"Sister Shuran."

Shuran glanced at the room, especially the little bed that belonged to He Yang at the outermost corner. He still did not tidy it up.

"Mm."

She responded simply, without even looking at Xiao Yu, she rushed out again.

Her heart kept sinking.

Generally speaking, new children should receive more care. After all, they were not familiar with the place and it was easy to have a sense of loneliness.

Moreover, at this age, they were already completely sensible. For such a child to suddenly become an orphan, there would be some psychological problems.

And she didn't make the usual arrangements, this was a huge mistake on her part.

Now that the two of them had disappeared together, Shuran could already imagine the fury she would face from the principal.
