"Oh my god that party was outrageous." I lay on my hotel bed with a massive hangover. My best friend, Selena, beside me on the opposite bed. "You look terrible." I look around the hotel room and look at the poor condition it's in. Trash all around the place, mold on the walls, some of the furniture falling apart, and some bugs. Eww. We really know how to pick em.
"ugh" Selena groans from across the room. "It's already morning?" I chuckled a bit. Selena has never been a morning person, add that with being hungover, well, now you just have a massive b*tch. Selena is a blonde with green eyes. She's also fairly short making her all that more feisty.
Me on the other hand, I have elbow long black hair and brown eyes. I'm your average height and just pretty average.
Can't wait to see how this morning goes. Better to just leave her alone.
"I'm going downstairs to get us some breakfast. Start packing. We're leaving after we're done eating."
I look back at her to see a pillow coming towards my face. I quickly dodge it, being used to this type of behavior from her it wasn't hard.
I make sure to grab my key card and unlock the door making my way outside. I go down the elevator and make my way to the lounge where the food is. I see a couple of people chattering and gossiping.
Not many people are here. Not that that's surprising considering the condition our room was in. I walk over to where the food is and spot Charles, Selena's boyfriend, and Tom, my bestfriend, grabbing some eggs and bacon.
"Hey guys." I call out to the two. Charles is a brunette with blue eyes, tall, handsome, and for some reason wears cardigans. Tom on the other hand is a blonde, but dyed his hair red. He's got dark blue eyes, fluffy hair and loves to wear casual clothes, also very handsome.
"How's the food." I ask. "We don't know. We haven't tried it. I don't think we want to either." Charles said. "Not unless we want indigestion." Tom responded. "It can't be that bad."
I lift the eggs up to go and take a bite, but stop myself. Something is telling me not to do it. No matter how bad I want to eat I'd rather just walk over to a café or something. "On the other hand let's just get our bags, I'll get Selena, and we'll eat fast food.
"Wise decision." Charles chuckles.
We all start to head back to the elevator when suddenly we hear a loud shriek. "AHHHH" "HELP "RUN" second thought. Multiple shrieks. We all look outside through the glass doors and we see people running across the side walks and on the streets either crying for help, to get help, or to just run.
Then suddenly more people come, but they don't look like people at all. Their skin is peeled and messy, some are pale others are green, their teeth are a pearl white, a deep contrast to their bloodshot eyes, sharp nasty nails, and overall they just look rabid.
They start jumping on other people, tearing them limb from limb. People are screaming and crying for their loved ones who run the other direction or die trying to go back.
It looks like hell. It was fine 2 minutes ago. IT WAS FINE! What the hell happened?! "Selena! Is she okay?! Where is she?!" Charles started going off shaking me as if the answers are going to fall out. I don't feel anything as I look out the glass doors is horror as I see what's happening.
In the corner of my eye I see Tom shove Charles off of me and what I can only assume him telling Charles to calm down because at this point I can't hear anything. Tom puts his hand under my chin and gently moves it so that I'm now facing him. I stare into his eyes for a while and my hearing suddenly comes back again.
"Breathe in and out. In through the nose and out to through mouth." I hear Tom say, I steady my breathing and calm down. "Where's Selena." We don't break eye contact. "Upstairs in our room. 244."
Charles quickly reaches out his hand. "Key card. Please." I dig in my back pocket and pass Charles the key card. The moment I do he dashes off towards the stairs and to the second floor where we stay.
"Tom what's happening?" We still keep eye contact. "I don't know, but we'd better get out of here." I nod my head in agreement and just then we hear a bang on the door. Me and Tom look at the glass door and see one of the rabid humans banging on it like there's no tomorrow and by the look of things there just might not be.
