Chapter 2 - I really took Ling Yue's body! OMFG!!

"My Lady!... My Lady..."

A voice frantically called out beside her. She tried to ignore the pounding in her head and opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was a girl's face, covered in tears.

Huh.

In my previous life, I wonder when I died, did anyone cry for me...?

"Shh, silence! I'm not dead yet!" She sat up sluggishly. Her body felt so heavy....

"AGGGGHHHH!!!" She screeched as she looked at her hands and body.

She really took Ling Yue's body!!!

That was the only explanation, she didn't have this giant fat blob of a belly in her previous life! Noooooo! All the gym hours that went into her hourglass figure... (╥_╥)

"My - My Lady?! What is it?" The girl cowered as her lady's scream startled her.

Ling Yue ignored her and flopped back on the bed. She stared blankly at the ceiling. Even the ceiling was unfamiliar. Gods, what should she do now….

It took Ling Yue almost half a day lying in bed to come to terms with her current situation.

She slowly sat up and reorganized her thoughts. At least her house was nice and big, with dozens of rooms lavishly decorated befitting of her status – the Yue Clan's only Lady. She signaled for the maid from before, who was now standing outside in the front yard.

The girl, if Ling remembered correctly, was called Loan. (/Lo-an/)

"You called, Lady Yue?" She asked, hesitant.

Ling Yue nodded: "Get me a mirror. Oh, and some food. God, I'm starving."

The girl quickly got to work. Ling Yue stood up and walked outside to the front yard.

She had her own yard in the Yue Clan's estate, the rooms all facing a giant blossom tree. The tree's flowers bloomed year-round, so her entire domain was named "Yard of Blossoms".

She was not used to this new body at all. Her steps were heavier, and she was breathing heavily after walking a few steps.

She sighed.

Ling Yue absolutely, without a doubt had to start losing weight. She had to train this body to peak perfection. In this world, without martial arts, she was just a miniscule ant waiting to be trampled upon. Anyone with a bit of Chi can kill her, easily. No one would ever feel bad killing an ant by mistake.

She could walk out this moment and get killed on the streets, if she was unfortunate enough to come across two Chi users dueling. Their Chi resonating from battle can simply end her, just like that. That was how weak Ling Yue was.

Chi was the basis of every martial arts. No matter what kind of martial art you practice, the stronger the Chi's class, the better.

Chi was divided into seven classes: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Each class has three sub classes, Lesser, Middle, High.

That bastard Ting Fu, who was called the Capital's prodigy, was Middle Yellow class. There were only a handful of Violet class Chi users in the whole Continent. Of those users, the youngest four prodigies were named the "Four War Gods".

There used to be rumors of a class higher than Violet, but no one has ever reached that level as of now. Ling Yue was incapable of summoning Chi, so she couldn't practice any martial arts at all, and thus was considered no more than a peasant in everyone's eyes.

Loan entered the room. She set the table, got out all the food, and started serving Ling Yue's meal with deft movements.

Ling Yue's mouth watered. The smells were heavenly. But as she glanced at the food, she winced.

The foods served were all unhealthy. All proteins, no veggies. All gluten and starch. No wonder she got so overweight. She faintly remembered the previous Ling Yue commanding all veggies to be thrown away. The girl didn't like eating veggies.

Well, this could change.

"Loan, lead me to the kitchen, would you?" She slowly said.

"Ah…Right away, my Lady!" The maid was confused, but kept her thought. She obediently led Ling Yue down the winding hallways, to the yard's private kitchen.

The original Ling Yue was really introverted. She kept to herself and preferred silence in her yard, so she kept few servants. There were only five kitchen staff, with two old ladies in charge who had been in this yard long before Ling Yue was even born.
