Gerald was called in Malvadogar early in the morning. He was given a long list of things he needed to get from the human world for the witches and wizards. He didn't mind it until he got money in return for his efforts.
Leaving Malvadogar, he came to wait on the usual spot for Theodora's carriage. He hoped Bertha might have succeeded in feeding some sense to her.
Filch had already found a comfortable place for himself as he knew he couldn't appear in front of Theodora just yet.
The carriage came running in his way at the right time, and Gerald waited in anticipation. When it didn't slow down, he thought that today was too going to be like the past week, but he was surprised when the carriage stopped abruptly.
The door was opened, and Theodora stepped down. Gerald saw Bertha showing him her thumb with a smile from behind Theodora though she remained sitting inside and didn't follow her mistress.
