After a tiresome journey of two days and spending their night in the uncomfortable space of the carriage in the middle of nowhere, Gerald and Theodora finally reached their destination.
A small village which looked more like a hamlet, situated at the foothills between the spurs of nature was their route to the portal to Nekaku Island. Theodora had so many questions on her mind, and she didn't shy away from asking them in privacy.
Gerald had already been an admirer of her intellect and how quickly she read through the lines whenever he tried to give her discreet answers. Theodora was pretty dumb usually, but she was one of the most clever women he had ever met in his life if she put her mind to it.
He explained to her why they were going to Nekaku Island and why they didn't take the shortest route, the sea route and chose the longer one.
