After bidding goodbye to Isabella and Oscar, Gerald reached Theodora's place. She was ready with a bag, and this time, she had paid attention to his every instruction.
"Are you sure Zerith would not get suspicious?" He tried to talk her out of this plan for one last time.
"Of course not! He believes everything Bertha says. Right Bertha?" Theodora glanced in the maid's way.
Gerald's jaw ticked as he too stared at her.
Bertha didn't say anything. Instead, she asked, "Erm... My lady, I still don't know where are you going. If you just tell me the name of the place-"
"No need, Bertha. You should only know that you have to handle Zerith and take care of Mr Collins. I met him yesterday afternoon and though he looks fine, I think he still gets dizzy sometimes. So be careful, okay?" Theodora instructed.
Bertha was left with no option than nodding her head.
