Theodora was already waiting for Gerald when he reached there. He intentionally took a longer route from the carriage. He was surprised to see that the coachman was not present there.
He paused near the window of the carriage. A small smile made its way onto his face. He carefully neared the window. He looked around to make sure that the coachman was not there and that Theodora had not seen him yet.
Taking advantage of that situation, he stood there staring at Bertha's angelic face. She must be tired as she slept like a baby resting her head on the wall of the carriage.
Gerald's green eyes moved from her forehead to her curvy eyebrows. Her eyes were closed. He wished to see those honey-coloured orbs staring back at him with the hint of nervousness that they always held looking his way.
He watched her fair skin flush with a light pink colour. She didn't need any paint to decorate her face. She was beautiful the way she was, and he loved it that way!
