Theodora returned after seeing off her parents for their journey to the mainland. And now she was a free bird.
She jumped up and down, throwing her hands in the air. Her face split into a wide smile as she sang, and hummed her favourite songs.
Bertha followed her into her room and was confused, seeing Theodora's happiness.
"My Lady?"
"Oh, Bertha!" Theodora turned to face her. Holding Bertha's hand, she began pulling her in circles as she laughed heartily.
Bertha was trying to balance herself and didn't understand why Theodora was so happy.
"My Lady, stop... stop... please!"
Theodora finally stopped and let go of Bertha. The poor woman staggered back on her feet but caught the table behind her to steady herself before she fall.
Bertha held her head in one hand as she refused to go with the other that held onto the table. She blinked rapidly.
