The days passed, and Theodora again managed to win Gerald's heart with her sweet talk. While she was enjoying hours-long discussions on random things, Gerald was growing distressed day by day.
Reznor kept reminding him that the time was slipping faster than he thought, and out of the year he had given to Gerald as a timeline, four months had already passed.
And yet Gerald couldn't find a way to enter the Longhurst mansion. The only thing that happened in the favour of his goal was the sketches Theodora provided him of the interiors of her home.
She also spent time explaining the details of the layout of the mansion and the secret ways oblivious to his real intentions.
There were three more things that bothered Gerald. One was definitely Bertha. She had grown so cold toward him that even if she ever cross paths with him, she acted as if they were strangers.
