This is the start of a new journal. I'm not able to put down dates, because I don't want the timeline of this writing to be known.
Something strange is going on, I was going out for lunch today when there was an odd ping on my radar system. Avalon grade tech is not prone to hiccups like this.
But how in the world did this artefact just appear?
Let me back up a bit, currently, I work with the department for the misuse of aesthetic arts. DMA for short. I'm very talented at locating aetheric signatures and even better at dismantling forbidden rituals on the fly.
Today I completely missed this artefact of extremely pure aetheric readings, passed right by it even. There was nothing there, then without any shift or disturbance the radar pings. Not even five steps behind me, there it is.
At first, I couldn't even sense it, but once I picked it up. I just could. Even the typically stuffy atmosphere Mundus became mysteriously intoxicating.
I might have enjoyed the sensation a bit too long because I only returned to normal awareness after I was nearly pushed to the ground by one of the non-magical.
I would have to come up with a fitting excuse, of course. Can't have my colleagues know the repair function of my Emblem just because I was pushed into the mud by such frail creatures.
This is another big issue. My shadow no longer pulses around the weak. There was also no flare-up around my boss. His aura is grand enough to normally cause a defensive response though I'm skilled enough to hide it. Not even the Emblem can pick up my quakes anymore.
They're always there, however. I'm just the only one who knows anymore. That thing has to have a beyond s-class shadow enchantment on it.
I'm getting distracted. I went through my father's journals about the shadow realm and only the highest tiers of shades grow beyond their need to devour living shadows.
When your connection reaches such a realm that you can begin to craft a personal sub-dimension. I'll begin to research the runes necessary this week. I hadn't expected to reach this level for at least the next few million years of my existence.
