I think I got lost down a rabbit hole. It's been a few days. I'm glad I started a new journal for this.
I've been looking into the runes we use for stabilizing sun-dimensional portals. The key component of creating your own dimension.
Basically, I need to pry open a hole into an elemental plane, bind it to my aesthetic signature and voila. My own resonance will bind the location to my will. Of course this requires immense resources to grow, most only a few feet cubed in size. However, this is the best method we've learned to gather sizeable aether pools. More resources more power.
I should mention that these methods haven't been tested since before the written history. Oral traditions and lucky astrological prying are our guides.
Back to the point. The runes we use currently seem empty and pale when I look at them now. I would liken it to a lack of something, something vital to crafting stable spellscraft.
I'll have to look into this more. I need to get back to work. I've tweaked the radar system, it's far more sensitive to aetheric disturbances now. I'm gonna take it on a test drive now.
Before I forget, tweaking the runes was easier than I thought it would be. Simply shift the alignment a few degrees and some of our basic runes can create an augmentive effect on the entire sequence. Look into that too.
