Chapter 36 - Cloud Was Stolen!

"It's time for the rules!" The youth became silent as the overseer loudly announced.

"First Rule, No killings allowed in the sect, as we aren't evil cultivators."

"Second, Always loyal to the Sect as long as you are in the Sect," Overseer strictly said and added,

"If you feel the Sect isn't worthy of your loyalty, you can leave after repaying what you indebted to the Sect, and we won't stop you."

"Always abide by the rules imposed by the Sect."

One after another, Overseer was announcing the rules of the Sect, and the new disciples were attentively listening to him.

"These are all the rules, and if you want to look deep into them, you can go through our rules book, where we inscribed all the rules in an order." Overseer notified the new disciples.

"Now, It's time for the division."

"We have a few departments, and they were, General Department, Alchemist Department, Enforcement Department, Treasury Department, Arts Department, Herbs Department, External Affairs Department, and like these few small departments."

"All these departments are divided into three levels, Outer Division, Inner Division, and Core Division."

The Overseer continued to explain the rules,

"Members of the departments are also divided into levels. For example, they might be divided into Member, Senior Member, Elder, Grand Elder, and Department Head."

"The names/titles may change, but the essence is the same, and everyone wanted to climb the ranks in the department."

"After this test, you became the disciple of the Sect, and you can join any department based on your choice and their requirement, and if those two match, you can join in it." The Overseer seriously explained, but the new disciples put up a clueless face.

"I think you didn't get my point. Well, I will briefly explain."

"For example, you like to join in alchemy department, so then, you need to pass the test conducted by it, and after passing the test, you can become a member of the alchemy department."

"You may doubt, what if you fail? Then you can try another, but you sincerely wanted or loved to join the alchemy department, no matter what, you can join it as an apprentice under some member of it. And after gaining some qualification, you may reattempt the test and then become a member of it." The Overseer explained in detail.

The new disciples got some clarity and even dreamed of their new department.

"Ok, Then, now I think you got some clarity over the department, so now, I will tell you about your training and instructions."

The disciples got silent when they heard those words, as it was the main thing for any Cultivator or Immortal Or Ancients.

"The Sect provides you some instructors based your today's testing. These instructors will guide you in your cultivations."

"But nothing in this world is free, and you have to pay for what you get, so for the lessons, you have to pay with your earnings." The Overseer severely said and added.

"There is some profound reason for this rule. You may not know, and even I don't know, but the thing is, every action forms some karma, and we have to repay it."

"This karma might not pay a major role in the beginning stages of the cultivation, but in later stages, this might play some pivotal role, so it is advised, it's best not to form so many karmas." The Overseer Profoundly said and added,

"That's why for everything you get in the Sect, you need to pay with your earnings, and only then, you might be less influenced by karma. I hope you understand."

Although it was very difficult for the youth to accept the bitter truth, they obediently nodded their heads.

Till then, the youth had dependent on their parents, but suddenly the Sect was saying that they had to depend on their own legs from then onwards.

It might take some time for the youth to accept the bitter reality.

"Ok, Then, these are all the basic things you need to know, and after today, you will be given with some badge and robes indicating your status as a disciple of the sect."

"Now, you can leave to wherever you came from, and after today, you will be given some separate room for yourself." The Overseer notified the youth

After that, slowly, the youth dispersed and went back to the courtyards they came from today.

After going back, Chao Li also sat on his bed while memorizing the details of that day's events.

At that moment, he felt some sensation on his hand, so he doubtfully looked at it.

To his shock, he saw some cloud imprint on it. He thought, some ink accidentally spilled on his hand.

He tried to rub that off, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't rub that off.

"Humm! What is it? Why is it stuck to my hand?" He doubtfully muttered.

As he thought, the imprint wriggled and pulled itself off the Chao Li's hand and turned into some tiny cloud.

That cloud was fluttering around the Chao Li.

"What the!" Chao Li was jerked by that miraculous scene.

He rubbed his eyes and intently looked at the cloud, but suddenly he heard some voice from the cloud.

"Master!" The cloud started to speak in human language.

"Master?" Chao Li surveyed around to see if there was someone around him but failed to notice any.

"Are you speaking to me?" He suspiciously asked.

"Yes, Master, I am speaking to you." The cloud confidently replied.

Chao Li couldn't understand when he became master of some unknown weird cloud.

"Who are you? I mean, what are you?" He meddled and added,

"And why are you calling me a master?"

"Master, I am the same cloud that tested you today, and after today onwards, I became your servant." The cloud replied.

"What! You are that Profound Immortal Cloud!" Chao Li was about to exclaim but swallowed his words in a midway.

"You! Do you want to make me a thief?"

While at that time, the staff responsible for the formation of the Profound Immortal Cloud suddenly frowned as he didn't see a cloud in the formation.

"Humm! Where is the cloud in that slot?"

He carefully looked all over the formation and then started to shiver as he yelled.

"A cloud is missing! Someone stole the cloud."
