"Cloud is stolen!" The keeper of the formation loudly exclaimed and then immediately notified the concerned elders of different departments.
After a while, some elders of different departments who were involved in the maintenance of the Sect Assets gathered for a meeting.
"What has happened?" An elder of the law enforcement department sternly asked.
"A Profound Immortal Cloud is missing." An elder from the maintenance department awkwardly replied as it was their task to safeguard the Sect Properties.
"How is that even possible?" An Elder from the formation Masters department blurted.
"Humph! How can we know? Maybe, when your members were arranging the formation, they made some mistake, and that's how it's gone missing." The elder from the maintenance department tried to shift all the responsibility to the formation Master department.
"Don't speak nonsense for your negligence. It was because of you guys the cloud is missing." The formation master elder abruptly countered and defended their department.
It would happen everywhere; everyone would like to take credit for good things and wanted to push the responsibility of bad things to others.
"Could you please stop arguing and think about why it is missing?" The elder for the law enforcement department tried to mediate the two sides.
"Humph!" Both the side elders snorted.
After a while, a neutral elder from the alchemist department, who came to witness the meeting, gently said, "You guys, it is some serious issue. Our Sect paid a large price for this advanced testing equipment, and we only have nearly around hundred Profound Immortal Clouds."
"Everything is so precious for the Sect, and in fact, those clouds are formed from the Level Six truth essence, which made them countless times valuable than other clouds, so....." The elder from the alchemist department was about to say something, but the Maintenence department elder interrupted and said,
"So what? Do you want me to take responsibility? My brothers and I would go near-bankrupt if we took responsibility. I am not ready to do that, if you want, take cover from the formation department, which rips their customers with fancy prices, unlike my maintenance department, who always depends on our hard work."
The elder from the maintenance department pitifully said, but it was also true, to some extent that, if they had taken responsibility for the loss, they would lose hard.
"What are you talking about? Why would we take responsibility for your fault?" Formation Master department elder abruptly replied and added,
"And also, we aren't rip-offs. We just charge nominal charges, unlike the alchemist department."
Like that, the arguments continued for some time, and after that, they came to one conclusion that,
"Ok, The Sect will bear thirty percent of the loss, and the remaining you two have to bear, and there is no further argument." The elder from law enforcement sternly said and added,
"We will also try to catch the culprit, and if we catch that one, we will return your money."
When that elder mentioned the culprit, both the department elders violently gnashed their teeth in a fury,
"If I catch that bastard,"
"Cough!" Chao Li coughed on his bed.
"Does someone thought of me?" He suspiciously muttered.
After that, He looked at the little cloud in front of him and gently asked,
"Cloud, What are you, and how can you speak? Why are you following me?" Chao Li asked several questions at a time.
"Master, I am the previous profound immortal cloud, and something from you granted me sentience, and that's why I am following you." The cloud politely replied.
"Something in me granted you sentience! Am I that great! And now, are you like AI from some of my previous worlds?" Chao Li suspiciously mumbled.
He thought, maybe the book of samsara granted sentience to the cloud.
"Cloud, What can you do now? I mean, what are your abilities?"
"Master, I am just for information purposes, but only about immortals. I know so much information about Immortals, and I can even upgrade my knowledge about immortals. I can even cultivate but don't have any combat abilities." The cloud replied.
Chao Li thought for a moment and then asked, "So are you like a Pokedex of pokemon series?"
"What is Pokedex?" The cloud suspiciously asked.
"Never mind!" Chao Li waved his hand casually.
He thought inside, 'Whatever it is, it is also the best thing to have this cloud, as it provides me the information about immortals.'
'Information is also some kind of power, so this cloud is some invaluable treasure to me right now.'
He deeply thought about the pros and cons of the cloud, and he was about to put some name to the cloud, as he found it awkward to call it a cloud.
But suddenly, he heard some footsteps, so he hurriedly called, "Cloud, turn back to the previous imprint."
As he instructed, the cloud turned itself in the form of an imprint and attached to Chao Li's hand.
After a few moments, he saw a group of cold youth in white.
That group entered Chao Li room uninvited, and upon they slowly moved towards Chao Li while asking,
"Are you Chao Li?"
"Yes, I am, but don't you know it's the minimum manners to knock the door before entering someone's room?" Chao Li looked annoyed as he asked.
By his words, the group of youth got amazed before saying, "Oh! You sure are nerve to ask manners from the senior disciples."
"Senior Disciples!" He skeptically looked at the youth.
The youth also slightly annoyed with Chao Li's questions, but then they ignored that and hurriedly said,
"You! We have much time to introduce later, but now, quickly listen to our order, as we have to inform this to many other new disciples."
"Today night, we are gathering some meeting for your new disciples, and that too who are either immortals or ancients and cultivators with grand seed and above."
"Since, You are an Immortal that too with Earth Level Spirit, we came to inform you about this matter." They sternly said and continued,
"You must attend this meeting if you want to have a better life in the Sect." They severely said.
"Our personal advice, don't even think about skipping the meeting for your own good,"
"And here is the address," They left as they said.
After they were gone, Chao Li mumbled, "Should I go or not!"
