Phoenix God?
Having heard of his name gave the kind god a sense of relief when he appeared. The god of flames from another divine realm had arrived to save Cosmic Mirror and him from Jade Mirage.
He couldn't move that freely in Cosmic Mirror's body when he possessed him, since the toxins had already paralyzed some of his muscles and hindered his magic flow.
"Phoenix. . .God? Why is a god here?!"
The badly burnt Jade Mirage created dark mirages of himself to strike at Phoenix God, who gazes at him coldly.
"I should say the same thing to you, demon. What are you doing in the Spirit Realm?"
"None of your business, god!"
"What a bad attitude. . ."
Phoenix God waved his arm, summoning a giant flame wave to disperse the mirages. He then teleports closer to Jade Mirage, grabbing his neck and squeezing it.
"Phoenix God. . .he is a resident of the Divine Jade Realm. . .Jade Mirage had fallen into greed for power that turned him into a demon."
Cosmic Mirror told the flame god.
"I see, it's no wonder that you were here. I wonder what excuse the Divine Jade Emperor will have this time once I bring you to him?"
The kind god watches the god of flames take Jade Mirage away to their heavenly emperor, hovering over to Cosmic Mirror whose life was on the brink of death.
". . .I'm sorry, in the end I was useless."
"Lord Kind, you are not. You helped distract Jade Mirage from consuming the Spirit Realm's core, bidding time for Lord Phoenix to come to our rescue. . .but I have to ask, how did you turn him into a demon?"
Lord Kind hesitates to answer for a moment, which the heavenly soldier understood that it's not something he could easily tell.
"Forgive me if that's a sensitive matter."
Since Jade Mirage has been turned into a demon, that would allow more significant leeway for his case even if it's just a little.
"Lord Kind. . .before my impending death. . .I shall entrust a secret to you."
Cosmic Mirror forces himself to move despite Lord Kind's objections and the poison in his system. He slowly walks to the realm's energy core and with a wave of his hand he opens a cosmic portal in front of it.
"The Divine Jade Emperor nor my family doesn't know about this. . .but now as I approach my end, I do hope Lord Kind will accept this gesture of mine."
The male immortal grabbed the soul to force his remaining magic into Lord Kind.
"Lord Kind. . .avenge yourself!"
"Wait, Cosmic Mirror!"
The immortal then threw Lord Kind into the portal and after that his body slowly breaks down into fragments of cosmic dust while his breathing slowly decreased more as time went on.
"Lord Kind. . .take care of. . ."
His voice trails off only leaving the last words from the movement of his lips.
Meanwhile inside the portal, the kind god was frustrated with the secret responsibility placed upon him. He didn't want someone who sacrificed their life to contribute justice for his injustice to die in such a cold place.
The divine soul went to the exit of the portal, yet was hesitant to go out to where the immortal had taken him.
Cosmic Mirror had entrusted this secret to him. . .
And told him to avenge himself. . .
Would that mean that he could take revenge on those who took his body as fuel from this path that Cosmic Mirror is guiding him to?
Then so be it.
Whether good or bad, it all depends on the life-changing opportunity that Cosmic Mirror gave him. A kind gesture will be paid back a benevolent hundred fold and a bad one will be paid back the same but even worser than death.
Lord Kind exits the portal to a warm atmosphere of energy and power. He could feel himself regaining his power all around him, like a vast stream of endless spiritual energy enough to fill his very soul.
Then he saw mirroring images in the air, all of which detailed the history of how each soul had lived, died, and reincarnated.
And even where their soul remnants remain when they died in the Spirit Realm.
A mysterious realm inside another realm.
For what purpose did Cosmic Mirror had to keep the hidden realm a secret?
A silver entrance adorned with the head statues of a deer and a hawk appears in front of the divine god, as if patiently waiting for him to see what's behind its doors.
And he opens the door slightly, a light shining out to fill his vision with the unknown. . .
