Chereads / Requital For All / Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

"Alem, it's time." Alem sat in his room, working on a new story. When he heard the voice, he looked around before finding Shameless standing near his poster.

"Okay." He sighed a little. The past month was new and fun for him, after all, this was a wealth he never had. "Before we go, can you do me a favor."

"What is it?" Shameless asked with a calm expression.

"Since you have great power and all, can you make it so my parents would be alive by the time I come back? Like, I'm hoping you can do something that would prevent any weird accidents from occurring." Alem was still worried about his family, since after he left, there wouldn't be people to look after his parent's the way he did.

"I've already helped solve that issue. Don't worry, the only way your parents can die is if their lifespan ends, which for now, I have extended very slightly." This was his new disciple, the hope of the universe, there was no way he would allow any sort of problem occur during the training, both mental or physical. "I'm going to come downstairs to pick you up, so get ready."

Alem nodded his head as he placed his laptop neatly on the side. He wasn't going to need it. He didn't pack anything since he didn't know what he would need exactly. Making sure his room was tidy, he walked down the steps, into his living room. After getting a hold of great wealth, his dad quit his job and relaxed with his mom. They didn't have many worries, since they were able to pay off the house and even the cars. "Mom, dad, I just got a call from Sham, he's on his way."

When he said those words, his parent's looked at him in shock before suddenly standing up. "Are you leaving now?" They looked at him with reluctance.

"Yeah, it's been a month already." He sighed a little. It was going to be a long separation, maybe longer than they actually knew.

"Espen, Cas, come downstairs!" His dad walked to the stairs and yelled. Soon, Alem heard his siblings running down.

"What happened?" They looked at his dad in confusion.

"Sham is coming, your brother is going to leave now." He looked at the two, and smiled bitterly.

"Dad, it's just two years, why are you being so serious?" He looked at his dad and sighed. He could say that, but he also felt reluctant, yet at the same time a little expectant. "I'll be back soon, don't worry. For now, just enjoy, go and travel. See the world. Maybe start a business or something. We have the money for it now." He smirked.

Knock Knock

The sound of knocks not only reverberated in the house, but the families hearts. Two years was no short time. Especially when there would be zero contact.

Alem walked over and opened it up. It was Shameless.. "Hey Alem, are you ready?"

"Yeah." Alem turned around and gave his mom and dad a small hug. "Don't worry, I'll be back soon." With these last words, he stepped out the door, about to enter a world he never knew existed.

"Shameless, where are you taking me?" When they stepped out the door, Alem entered a car which left his house, but little did his family know, the inside of the car was empty. It was just a distraction. Alem had left the place the instant he stepped into the car.

"We are going into a special world which I created for your training. The time in there is slowed down, so we can increase the amount you can train for." He spoke while helping Alem land on a stone floor.

"Is that even allowed? Like, wouldn't it be included in the thousand years?" He asked with a bit of confusion.

"It won't. He said that the thousand years will be based on the time of the main world. Any other world will not be included." Shameless smiled when he said this. "This means, you have much more time to train and get stronger.

"Alright, then what is this place?" He looked around and found that the first place he entered was a closed stone room. The walls were made from a stone brick while the floor was a grey, spiky, rock. Blue lights flickered in the room, keeping it lit, yet not bright.

"This is where the first step of your training will occur. It is also one of the most painful steps." Shameless sighed as he found a place to sit down. "After this part is over, that diamond world will be yours. Also, let me explain the time difference as well, so you can better understand how long you will be here for."

Alem also sat down, ready for this explanation. "I'm listening."

"First, the reason why I gave so many things to you back on Earth is because none of that will ever be useful to you, only your family. The more you cultivate, the less appealing materialistic items become to you." Alem nodded his head. His stories worked in a similar way, so it could make sense to him. "Alright, so here is the time difference." Taking a deep breath, Shameless began. "A single year in the main world, is equivalent to a hundred years in this world. A hundred years in the main world, is equivalent to a single year on Earth when you are here, but if you are back on Earth, then a hundred years there is equivalent to one year in the main world. This was to avoid any time wastage." Sighing a little, he looked at Alem with a bit of pity. "This means, even if you plan to stay in the main world for your training, two hundred years atleast will pass before you see your family once again, and that is if we stayed in the main world. You will mostly be in this training world, which means the time will be greatly increased for you."

"S-so long." Alem couldn't help but feel a little dazed by this. The number of years were so long, he couldn't even contemplate it. How was it even possible for him to last two hundred years atleast without losing his mind, when even a single year, no, a single month could feel like forever. Sometimes even a single day would feel like it would never end.

"I know this is shocking, but time is of the essence. We need to get you strong enough to get this completed." Shameless suddenly waved his hand and a crimson orb appeared in front of Alem. It was akin to a heart, beating like a drum, blood squirting from each thump, veins following along a particular path. It was a disgusting sight to say the least. "He created this thing which would allow you to awaken what is known as an Origin Body. Normally, you would either cultivate to the point where you would obtain one, or you would be lucky to be born with a premature Origin Body. Celius, he was born with this premature Origin Body, so was he."

"What do I do with this thing?" He understood that to obtain a certain type of body, he would have to do something, yet he didn't know what. Did he have to absorb the power from this ball of meat, like in the books? Would he have to plant this somewhere on his body?

"You eat it." When his words came out, Alem was a little alarmed. Eating was so direct that he never even thought of it.

"How do I eat something like this? Is it even edible?" Alem asked with reluctance on his face.

"You can eat it and won't die, if that's what you mean." Shameless raised his hand and a pink flame suddenly appeared on his fingertips. Pointing his fingers towards Alem, the pink flame began to move slowly, yet Alem couldn't dodge it, rather he didn't want to. Something about the flame brought about his appeal, he wanted to touch it. With this thought roaming in his mind, the flame touched his forehead, and an extreme urge to eat formed inside of him. "You would normally be unable to eat something like this, no normal person could eat things like this. He did it, but he is a little bit special. Now, with this hunger coursing through you, anything that is even slightly edible will make you go crazy. This ball in front of you is one such thing."

Droll began to spill from Alem's mouth as his eyes were locked on the ball of meat, yet he held himself back. He couldn't eat something like this, it was disgusting and completely inhuman.

"Alem, don't fight it. Just let the urge take over you. It will only last until this thing is completely devoured. You have to eat it, there isn't a choice. He made this just for you, so you can have the ability to obtain the Origin Body. Think about your family back home, you have to consume this in order to keep them safe." Although this would normally move other people, Alem was slightly different. He cared for his family deeply, yet he was also not unrealistic. Everyone dies eventually, so it was bound to happen. His parents were meant to die at one point, as was everyone else.

"I can't stop it…" His breathing began to rapidly increase as he glared at the ball of meat. It was like a beacon, something calling him so forcefully he felt his mind going blank. "I can't hold back…" With the craze building up, he finally felt his vision begin to darken, all he felt was his body moving and things beginning to enter his mouth.
