This castle was the headquarters of the Wilson royal family, where the head of the family resides.
The situation of the family was messy at the moment as many rumors surrounded the air around the family, but the family living in the castle was unbothered by them.
Emma Norodom Wilson, the wife of the current known head of the family, walked through the whole castle to look at her castle, with servants, guards and some branch members following her as she asked to make some changes around the castle, as she was going to settle here, again.
She heaved a sigh of relief, and then turned to sit on her throne in the courtroom, the members followed her to the room and sat on their respective chairs.
She waved her hand in the air and closed her eyes as she folded her hand on her lap.
A man in his mid 40s stood up and bowed,
"Matriarch, the business in country X is being affected by the rumors surrounding the family" the man informed.
Grandma Emma just hummed in response as she already read the documents about the situations in Country X.
Another man stood up and bowed,
"Matriarch, if we don't find a solution to this problem we are going to suffer a great loss, even the company in country Y is not doing well"
A woman in her mid 30s stood up and bowed,
"Yes, Matriarch, even my company is losing," she said.
Other members followed suit.
Matriarch Emma opened her eyes, and put her hand in the air to silence everyone as she glanced at each and everyone.
"What do you suggest?" she asked in her clear and crisp voice.
"Matriarch, we need to clear up the rumors," a man said.
…
…
…
Many suggested similar solutions, and then came the crux of their visit,
"Matriarch, we should select a candidate to handle the company" a man suggested.
Matriarch Emma gestured to the man to continue.
"So, the rumors will be cleared and we will also have a leader which will make everything else clear and easy for everyone" he continued as a smirk appeared on his lips which he quickly replaced with a helpless smile.
Matriarch Emma sniggered,
"Why elect when we had already selected the candidate for the CEO of the company years ago?"
Everyone present in the court heard the question and their heart sank.
"Has the princess arrived?" a man whispered.
"I have heard that she has arrived from the branch family in Country W" a lady purred.
"I think so too," another lady muttered.
The youngest them of all, a girl in her mid 20s looked at her heels, she could not digest the news, her aunt had promised that she would be the next CEO of their family company, she had been learning and making connections to inherit the family business, but the arrival of the rightful owner splashed water on her whole plan. She gritted her teeth in annoyance.
A man in his late 20s clenched his hand as the words around him sank in. He had been planning to become the next CEO of the company, but the unexpected news of the princess squashed his plans.
Like the two who had been planning to control the company were bitter and a woman could not take that anymore and spoke up,
"But we can't just give the company to the Princess, she has never entered the headquarters?"
"She lacks experience too," a man voiced.
"And connections," another one added.
…
…
…
After everyone was done speaking their opinions and complaints.
"Her name is big enough for the so called 'connections' and about experience, she will get that once she takes the position" the old lady said in her crisp and cold voice making everyone present their shudder, her cold eyes met everyone's eyes.
She stood up from her throne and left the courtroom. Her secretary stood up from his chair and gave everyone a folder which contained documents regarding the Princess's achievements, and other details.
