After ten minutes Pearl fell asleep after crying her eyes out, her pillow soaked and her eyes were swelled because of all crying she did before falling asleep. All this time Cynthia was silently sitting beside Pearl, affectionately caressing her hair. Cynthia had no clue how to console Pearl, it was the first time she had seen her so disheartened.
Once Cynthia made sure Pearl was asleep she quietly left the room with a clenched fist.
'What have we done? We were so blinded by our love that we overlooked our son's flaws? Where have we laked? I hope it is not too late.' Cynthia was annoyed and disappointed not only in Jamine but in herself and Thomas. Cynthia was scared seeing such malice and hatred in Jamine's eyes.
Cynthia raised her hand close to her mouth and spoke into the bracelet-"Senna can you please send Kathrine to Peal's room to be with her, she is not having a good day."
Senna was Augustus's youngest Grand-Daughter and Thomas's younger sister. Senna was the head of the Alchemy department and was Cynthia's Childhood friend, she was among people who genuinely loved and cared for Pearl.
The bracelet Cynthia was wearing was called the messenger bracelet which could transmit short messages to anyone wearing that bracelet within 50km of range. These messenger bracelets were given to all the important figures of the nation, even though they could be bought by anyone who was ready to pay for the item but only a few had possession of the item because of its high price.
After Cynthia had messaged, she went straight towards Thomas's chamber.
"Did you just see her majesty Cynthia ?" One of the guards standing outside Thomas's chamber whispered to the other as Cynthia entered.
"Yes she looked so annoyed, In my 5 years of service in the castle I have never seen her so irked." Replied the other.
"5 years huh....., 20 years I have been serving the Royal family and it is my first time. " the first guard said with a somewhat proud expression.
When Cynthia entered, Jamine was already present there and was having a conversation with his father Thomas.
"Cynthia" Thomas said and gestured for her to sit as soon as he saw her. Thomas then further continued with a smile- "Jamine has told me everything, he is just a kid Cynthia you should not refuse to lend him a little bit of your knowledge. He is the future of our nation."
Hearing this Cynthia's eyes twitched, as she was about to say something Thomas further added-"Cynthia you should not get angry at such petty things."
"Hmm.... Jamine your father and I have something important to discuss, you should leave." Synthia commanded with a stern voice without even looking at him. Listening to Thomas just now she realized why was Jamine getting more arrogant with each passing day after his awakening.
Thomas : "Cynthia you don't have to talk to him like that. Do you even know how sorry he was, for talking rudely to you earlier?".
"I am sorry mother for my behavior earlier today." Jamine said while slightly bowing.
Looking at Jamine, Cynthia said-"I am not the one you should be apologizing to."
"What do you mean Cynthia ?" It was Thomas who asked in a surprised tone.
"I want him to apologize to Pearl." Cynthia said staring at Jamine. Hearing her mother Jamine was in disbelief.
'How can you ask me to apologize to that trash. What about my respect of being a prince and a genius cultivator ?' Jamine thought and was about to give voice to his thoughts but Thomas was the one who spoke first.
"How can you expect him to apologize for literally nothing, Cynthia he is the prince and the future of this kingdom. How can you even ask him to do that?" Thomas said in great disbelief.
"What do you mean cannot apologize, he owes an apology to Pea- ." Cynthia was only mid-sentence when Thomas spoke cutting her mid-sentence.
"Cynthia he won't lower his head in front of anyone, he is the prince of this nation and you should help him grow rather than scolding him." Thomas said stubbornly.
"I won't teach him a thing if he does not does not apologies." trace of irritation and rage could be heard in Cynthia's voice.
"Son you don't have to worry, If your mother doesn't want to contribute to our nation's future and lend some of her knowledge. You can go to your uncle Barun to help you with your doubts. I am sure he will be more than happy to help unlike other." Thomas said while taunting Cynthia for not helping.
"Jamine, don't let me repeat again." Cynthia said with a stern voice.
Hearing Cynthia Jamine got up to leave.
"Thank you father," Jamine bowed and left with a smirk on his face.
'What is wrong with mother nowadays, she is being biased always siding with that trash. It is all because of her. One day I will surely take my revenge.' Jamine thought and started going towards Barun's chamber.
"Uncle Barun" Jamine knocked on Barun's door and called out.
"Come in Jamine, you don't need to knock at my door." A deep low-pitched voice came from the room.
Inside the room on a desk, a tall bulky man with sharp eyes, black hair and a beard was sitting, he was surrounded by books and different kinds of maps. He was Barun, Augustus Grandson, and Thomas's younger brother. He held 2 posts, commander of the army as he specialized in war and battle strategies, and the second, he was responsible for the interaction with other nations (foreign minister).
Jamine entered the room and bowed,-"Uncle I need a favor, can train me in skill usage ?"
"Huh... dear Jamine why do even have to ask, I will be more than happy to be of any help to the future powerhouse of our nation and family." Barun said smiling.
"I knew I could count on you uncle. If only mother could understand something so basic." Jamine said annoyed
"Is everything alright, you look tensed. You could tell me, maybe I could help" Barun said with narrowed eyes trying to look through Jamine.
Jamine then narrated the whole incident including the conversation in The King's chamber, to his uncle Barun.
'Things are moving faster than I expected, good for me' when Jamine was done narrating a sly smile appeared on Barun's face just for a moment which was then quickly shrouded by a worried look.
"Poor Jamine, I feel so bad for you. How could the Queen do this to his own son." Barun said faking concern.
"I know Uncle, that is all because of that Pearl. I wish she never existed." Jamine said furiously.
'Hahhahaha, this is too perfect but you gotta slow down a little bit dear Jamine.'
"Jamine, you are a tri-nature prodigy who should focus on your cultivation and skill rather than petty people. Once you are strong you could do as you wish."
Hearing Barun a proud and arrogant smile appeared on Jamine's face- "Yes uncle I think you are right, they are just flies and once I am strong I can crush them whenever I feel like."
'Dear Jamine you are the most valuable pawn, you will help me reach my goal.'
