Even this time Nile rushed forward, but Darren was more focused. Nile was aiming at Darren's left leg, realizing what was Nile up to, Darren quickly lifted up his left leg evading the sword. Even seeing his attack miss Nile did not try stopping and took a 360-degree turn and struck Darren's right leg with a low spinning sweep kick.
'Ow, that hurts. I keep forgetting I am just 3 years old human kid' even though he managed to hit Darren's leg with his full strength, Darren did not even move an inch. When Darren saw what had just happened his eyes opened wide in amazement.
'This kid is a genius among geniuses. How did he manage to pull out such a move? He has insane reaction speed. I should not take him lightly.' Thinking this, Darren jumped a few meters back and with his other hand, gestured Nile to come at him again.
'He is finally getting serious. This is going to be fun.' while thinking this Nile advanced. This time Darren advanced too at the same time, covering the distance in just a few steps. Darren slashed down his sword first, Nile titled to his right to evade it while swinging his sword just like the first time, but this time Darren had his eyes fixed on Nile the whole time. Seeing Nile trying to attack his right leg he quickly brought down his sword and blocked the attack. As if Nile was already expecting Darren to block his attack, he turned from his left side and moved as quickly as he could to face Darren's back, and moved his sword trying to stab his thigh from behind. . Even though Darren had a huge build he was somehow flexible and athletic. Even without using any energy, he easily jumped over Nile who was at his back just inches away from hitting Darren.
The sparring continued for a while. They ward off each other's attack perfectly, both had a smile on their face which kept getting wider as they exchanged blows. Nile mostly dodged, as Darren was too strong for him to defend using his sword, on the other hand Darren defended mostly using his sword,Nile was so much consumed,that he did not even realize his movements were getting clumsy with each passing second.
Nile swung his sword while trying to close in, but his legs had gone stiff from all the moving he had done in the past 10 minutes. Looking at his legs he thought -'I keep forgetting my body's limit' and the very next moment there was a wooden sword resting on his neck.
By the end of the sparring session, Nile was sweating buckets. The very next moment they stopped, Nile realized he was at his limit and this realization came with shaky legs and a painful body.
"haha, this sparring session was so satisfying, I don't even remember the last time I had so much fun." Darren said while taking out a small shining stone from his pocket, which was the size of an almond and continued- "Take this" Darren said while handing the stone to Nile.
Nile took the stone excitedly- "Thank you, Darren for the monster core." Nile said while safely keeping the core in his pocket.
One could obtain a monster core after killing the monster. The size of the core depends on the level of that Monster. There was only a 5% chance of receiving a monster core from a human-ranked monster, and it kept decreasing as the rank of the monster increased. {4%for warrior ranked monster, master- 3%, Grandmaster-2%, Lord-1% and King 0.5%.}
"No worries. Let us go back to the mansion or else Elora will come running here." Darren said smiling and recalling the last time she had lectured him.
Then they both started moving, Nile was struggling to walk because of his sore legs . Seeing him struggling Darren asked Nile to get on his back and gave Nile a piggyback ride to the mansion. Initially, Nile was reluctant but he had to give up to Darre's stubborn nature.
The walk back was similar to the earlier one, with people trying to look through the hood (hood covering most of Nile's face.)
A few minutes later, Nile who was resting his face over Darren's shoulder could see Elora at a distance who standing at the entrance of the mansion, her back facing Darren and Nile, talking with the guards. -'This is going to be troublesome for Darren'.
"Hey, Darren wait and listen carefully-" Nile said getting Darren's attention and continued whispering in his ear -"When my mother rushes up to us and most probably she will hug me. As soon as you see her hug me, quietly run back towards the town and return to the mansion in an hour or two. Now you can put me down ." Nile said with a tired face while giggling. The whole image of Darren trying to sneak out without being noticed by Elora was funny for him.
While Nile was instructing Darren, a guard had already spotted them and was pointing towards their direction.
Elora turned around and rushed towards Nile, concern, and worries could be clearly seen in her misty eyes. Darren was already a few meters away from Nile.
"Mother, I am perfectly fine" Nile said while stretching both his arms.
Without saying a word Elora hugged him.
'Oww, that hurts' Nile's whole body was aching,
"Nile, are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?" she asked, on verge of tearing. She then started inspecting Nile's body for any injury.
Elora who was inspecting his body, had touched Nile's leg to check for injury, causing sharp pain on his leg.
"Yes, Mother I am al-, OWWW" Nile was mid-sentence when he felt a sharp pain on his legs and he almost shouted.
The tears Elora had been holding back rolled down her cheeks.
"Call, healer Amie fast ." She commanded the guards,
One of many guards standing there dumbfounded went running to get a healer, while Elora gently picked up Nile and took him inside the mansion.
"Mother, I am fine" Nile said while wiping a tear off her cheek and continued "I am just tired, resting will make everything fine. "
"That is the healer to decide," she said with an angry tone.
'I am gonna punch that Darren on the face the next time I see him' she thought with an angry expression.
When Kaya told her that Nile had gone somewhere, she went to Drake to check if Nile had gone out with him. Seeing Drake clueless about Nile's whereabouts, maids were called out and questioned. Some maids who had seen Nile, told her about a small hooded boy going towards the entrance of the mansion.
Elora rushed towards the entrance panicked. She had seen even Master rank cultivators going missing (Gordon, Drake father) so what was a 3 and half-year-old child. She thought of the worst possible scenario.
Once she reached the gate and when she was told Nile leaving with Darren, only then she sighed with relief. It was then, a guard told her about the duo approaching.
"What happened," Drake asked while entering the room with worried expressions.
"Father, I am just tired. Will be fine once I get enough rest" Nile smiled while scratching his haed
"HUH" Drake was puzzled
"He was TRAINING with DARREN" Elora interrupted while emphasizing the word training, and Darren.
"Elora, if he was with Darren then it is fine. I am sure he was caref-" Drake was still speaking when Elora cut him mid-sentence.
"If it is fine then why is his whole body aching" she said fuming with anger.
"Mother if you let me expl-" Nile was cutshort by the guard who was rushing in followed by a middle-aged woman.
"Lady, Miss Amie is here" the guard said while breathing heavily.
"Amie check him, his entire body is aching" Elora said, pointing towards Nile, as soon as Amie entered without even greeting her old friend.
The guard there was shocked watching Lady Elora who was always calm and composed acting in such a manner.
Ammie rushed by Nile's side, who was lying on the bed, and started examining him. After a minute she said with a relieved expression- "He is completely fine, his body is aching because he overworked his body. He must have played longer than he was supposed to." Looking at Nile she continued "Nile, do not worry I will make the pain go away in a minute."
She had heard rumors of Nile being paralyzed and Mentally unstable, but when she herself saw him, she realized those were just baseless rumors. She was happy for her friend Elora.
When Amie was done with healing she left witth the guard, leaving Drake, Elora and Nile alone in the room.
"Mother, that is what I was telling you" Nile said with puffed cheeks showing fake anger.
"I don't know, I just panicked. I am sorry" She said feeling guilty for being angry at Nile.
"Elora, you worry too much." Drake said patting Nile's head.
" We have lost many loved ones in the past, I don't know what I will do if anything happens to Nile" she said while hugging Nile.
"Mother nothing will happen to me" Nile said hugging her back
"You are supposed to tell me directly, whenever you leave"
"You would have never allowed me if I would have asked you." Nile said while sticking out his small tongue.
"hahahhah" they all burst into laughter.
They were enjoying their family moment when Darren casually walked in humming merrily.
